Jason paused. "How do you know I have a date here today? Who told you?"
His handsome face was now clouded with deep displeasure. The sheer force of his authority made Pattie's heart tremble with fear.
Pattie forced a smile. "Mr. Farill, what's wrong? Didn't we agree to meet here for a date?"
"Jason!"
At that moment, Hanna and Frank walked over.
Frank looked at Pattie. "Jason, who is this? Why isn't Lilly here?"
Hanna added, "It's already six. Don't tell me Lilly stood you up to mess with you again."
Jason cut her off. "Impossible."
Frank pressed, "Then where is Lilly? And who is this girl?"
Pattie felt that Jason was acting strangely. They were supposed to have a date today, but he seemed like he didn't even know her.
The fantasy she had built up in her mind had already crumbled.
Jason's cold, piercing gaze fell on Pattie's face. "Who are you? Security!"
Several bodyguards in black suits hurried over. "Mr. Farill."
Jason barked, "Get her out of here!"
Two bodyguards immediately grabbed Pattie, one on each side.
Pattie's face turned white with terror. "Mr. Farill, what's wrong? Didn't we agree to meet at the restaurant at six tonight? Why are you having these men grab me?"
Jason's lips thinned. "Who said I was having a date with you?"
The person he was waiting for was Lilly.
Just moments ago, he had found the name "Applepie" cute. Now, it just made him feel sick.
He had mistaken this "Applepie" for Lilly.
Pattie was still completely confused. "Mr. Farill, what's going on? Aren't we supposed to be on a date?"
Jason's hands, clenched at his sides, were so tight his knuckles turned white. He looked at Pattie with disgust. "Who would want to go on a date with you?"
Frank chimed in, "Stop dreaming. Why would Jason ever go on a date with you? The person he's waiting for is Lilly!"
What?
Pattie froze. "Mr. Farill, the person you like is... Lilly? But Lilly never told me you two were together. I begged her to get your number for me, and she just agreed."
Hanna laughed coldly. "Jason, I see it all now. Lilly doesn't care about you at all. She even used you to get your number for this girl!"
Frank added, "Jason, it was all just a big misunderstanding. Lilly never wanted to go on a date with you. You were just getting carried away all by yourself!"
