An icy chill radiated from Jason. He thought it was Lilly who wanted his number. He thought it was Lilly who said she liked him. He thought it was Lilly who wanted to go on a date with him.
But the truth was a harsh slap in the face. It had all been a one-man show.
He had been here, lost in his own wishful thinking.
He was a joke.
Pattie pleaded, "Mr. Farill, I really didn't know... please, let me go..."
Jason snapped, "Get her out of here. I don't want to see her!"
The bodyguards immediately dragged Pattie away.
She tried to beg for mercy, but one of the guards clamped a hand over her mouth and hauled her out.
Jason stood paralyzed, a sharp burn stinging his eyes as his gaze hardened with fury.
How dare she. How dare Lilly do this to him.
Hanna, naturally, wouldn't miss this opportunity. She didn't miss the chance to twist the knife. "Do you see now, Jason? Lilly is cold-blooded. She's been playing you from the start. She's played you again and again! If she really loved you, she wouldn't have gotten your number for this girl!"
Frank also tried to reason with him. "Jason, do you see her clearly now? Lilly is not right for you. From now on, just cut ties with her. Stop pining after her all by yourself! It's honestly pathetic, you know?"
He was right. He was pathetic. He thought it was Lilly, and he had even cleared his entire schedule and dressed up just to come here. But it wasn't her at all.
Why?
Why would Lilly do this to him?
Jason pushed past Frank and Hanna, striding out of the restaurant.
Frank called after him, "Jason, where are you going?"
Hanna shouted, "Jason, don't go looking for Lilly!"
