The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 951

When Jerome took a look at the situation in the operating room, he froze in shock.

There were batons scattered all across the floor, as well as a few security guards and doctors lying on the ground in strange postures. It was then that he finally realized something had gone wrong.

One of the security guards was lying supine with his arms twisted weirdly behind him against his back. He had quite a grotesque expression on his face as well. It looked as if he was in pain and anguish.

Still, Jerome wasn't sure if the security guard had merely passed out or was just asleep because the latter was lying completely still. Or maybe he was dead.

The thought of death sent chills down Jerome's spine. He then shifted his gaze to the side, where a doctor was lying on the ground in his white coat.

The doctor had an even weirder pose—he had his head tucked under his armpit, and he was lying motionless on the ground.

Once again, the chill washed over him, and Jerome continued to observe the rest of them.

Another security guard had his face planted on the ground as if he was trying to stick his head into the ground like an ostrich. Again, he was staying completely still.

There were a few others who were all positioned differently, and it was most bizarre to see.

By the side were three people standing together. One of them had a scalpel in his hands and glared at Jerome with much hatred, while another was just staring straight at him, making him shudder in fear.

The third person had his back facing him, so Jerome couldn't see his face or what he was doing.

However, Jerome felt uneasy and asked Brian, "What happened to these people lying on the floor?"

Seeing Jerome here, Brian finally felt a little trace of hope. "They're all dead, Mr. Murray. They're all dead!"

Those people really weren't alive anymore! Jerome felt an even greater sense of dread upon receiving the news. "What happened? Didn't you call me over to collect gold?"

At that very moment, Jerome felt like strangling Brian. He wouldn't have to be stuck in this sort of situation if Brian hadn't called him over for some gold.

Sensing Jerome's displeasure, Brian immediately apologized. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lie, but I had no choice as well. We've been exposed for our organ trafficking!"

Having heard that, Jerome burst into a fit of rage and slapped Brian across the face. "You fucking idiot! What are you talking about? Since when have I ever participated in any sort of organ trafficking?

"Have you lost your mind? Stop spewing nonsense!"

Brian held onto his cheek and backed up, saying, "There's no use hiding anymore, Mr. Murray. They know everything."

He thought the three of them were police, or even spies, which was why he spoke like that.

Then, Brian piped up and said, "They're not the police."

Upon hearing that, Jerome became a little skeptical. "That's true. Why would the police be butting their heads into our business? It's not as if they would waste time playing chase with us."

Devin was irked immediately after, and he worked hard to suppress the boiling rage that had threatened to burst out earlier. His grip on the scalpel tightened indefinitely.

Just then, Brian informed again, "They're family members of the student on the operating table."

At that, Jerome froze. Then, he lowered his head in silence and only looked back up after a long while. "Since you're his family members, it'll be much easier to deal with.

"Alright. Let's discuss the compensation, then. How much do you want for the liver they dug out?"

At once, Devin raised his hand and pointed at Jerome with the scalpel in hand, clenching his jaw as he snarled. "I don't want money. I want your life!"

Jerome staggered back in shock. "Hey, don't get impulsive. Put down the scalpel first. It's a doctor's tool, not some plaything for patients or family members to mess around with. You can't break the rules!"
