The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 973

Pierre shook his head and firmly stated, "That's not possible. Let me put it this way. Even if the sun rises from the west or the pigs do fly, Alyssa's heart will never waver."

Matthew finally understood why Pierre was called Monkey. He was as silly as one, and the nickname didn't miss the mark.

He foolishly believed Alyssa would stay loyal, but in reality, she already had male escorts visiting her place.

Matthew continued, "You never know what could happen in this world. A few days ago. I watched a video about a woman dragging a man into a flower bed and raped him.

"What a poor guy. His hair was a mess, and his clothes were ripped apart. When he escaped from the flower bed, his legs were wobbly, and he could barely stand. It was awful.

"Basically, anything can happen, so don't be too sure of your own judgment."

Pierre's mouth twitched. "Is that woman even a proper one? She doesn't even come close to being compared to Alyssa.

"Alyssa is perfect—sweet, caring, and pure. Honestly, no words can capture how amazing she really is."

Matthew furrowed his brows. "What you're describing is a fantasy. There's no much so woman in this world."

Pierre was totally smitten. How could Matthew make him see Alyssa's true colors?

Pierre staunchly declared, "In my heart, she's the best woman in the world."

Matthew couldn't stand it anymore. "Stop deluding yourself. There's no woman like that in the world. Alyssa isn't as perfect as you imagine.

"S-she might not be serious about things. When it comes to men, it's almost like she treats it casually, calling them over to her house like she's ordering a takeout."

Pierre responded with a grin. "Takeout? She prefers food delivery too because she can't cook, but that doesn't make her a bad person."

Taken aback, Matthew fixed his gaze on Pierre. He couldn't believe what Pierre had just said.

Alyssa had called a male escort to her place. Regardless of gender, anyone doing something like that would ruin their reputation.

But when it came to Alyssa, Pierre somehow insisted it would ruin her image as a proper woman.

Matthew kept his eyes on Pierre for a long time, trying to see if Pierre was thinking straight. He realized Pierre was perfectly fine.

Matthew noticed the look of agony on Pierre's face and knew he believed it, but he still couldn't accept it, so he needed to check again.

Without a second thought, Matthew firmly replied, "Yes."

Pierre clenched his teeth and swiftly entered the residential building.

Arriving at the door of Alyssa's place, Pierre knocked at it loudly and urgently.

Inside, Alyssa was lying on the couch, feeling out of it for the past few days. When he suddenly heard the knock, she was startled and sat up right away.

Then, she walked to the door in a daze and grumbled, "Stop knocking. What's the rush? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

As she opened the door, Alyssa saw a familiar face and was stunned at the doorway. After coming back to her senses, she gave way and welcomed the newcomers in.

"Come on in, Cleeve. Take a seat. Anywhere is fine."
