The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 974

Alyssa invited Pierre to the couch and quickly fetched some water. Before she walked away, she glanced at Matthew, and her expression paled. She had a bad feeling about this.

Pierre coldly said, "Let's cut to the chase. I need to talk to you."

Alyssa turned back and gingerly looked at Pierre. "Long time no see. You've lost weight. What happened to your face? Does it hurt?"

As she was talking, she reached out to examine the injury on Pierre's face.

"Get your hands off me!" Pierre shouted. He swatted Alyssa's hand away and took a step back, putting some space between them.

Alyssa's expression froze. She glanced at Matthew and realized she was exposed.

She quickly walked forward and held Pierre's arm. "Don't trust what the outsider says, Cleeve. I didn't cheat on you."

Pierre backed up. "Don't call me Cleeve. I've changed my name to Pierre."

Alyssa's face fell, and a look of sorrow crossed her face. She slowly walked toward Pierre. "Don't say that. I didn't mean it. I-I just couldn't stop myself at the moment, but it isn't a big deal.

"I'm just fooling around with them. I don't know them, and I don't have feelings for them. My heart belongs to you."

Pierre kept retreating, holding his hand up to stop Alyssa from coming any closer. "Stay away, please. Don't come near me. I feel disgusted."

Alyssa raised an eyebrow and irritably snapped, "I don't love them at all, Cleeve. I don't even know their name. I'm serious. I only care about you. Stop being so petty."

Petty? Pierre's grim expression sported a smile, but the smile was tinged with agony and sorrow.

"How am I petty? You're out there looking for a male escort, and you dare to call me that? What kind of nonsense is that? Are you even making sense?

"I'm serious, Alyssa. From now on, we're done. We're cutting ties for good."

Alyssa's face contorted in anger. Staring at Pierre, she asked, "Are you really ending things with me?"

Pierre coldly remarked, "If we don't break things off, am I just going to settle for someone else's leftovers?"

Alyssa's face twitched. "How dare you call me that, Pierre? In my eyes, you're worse than scrap. Please! Just look at yourself.

"You're living worse than a stray dog. You're just a stubborn, good-for-nothing dog. Even if I had to live alone for the rest of my life, I wouldn't choose you. Get out of my house."

Thinking Pierre had forgotten something at Alyssa's place, Matthew stopped in his tracks and looked at Pierre. Unexpectedly, Pierre rushed toward him and suddenly dropped to his knees with a thud.

"I want you to be my mentor. Please accept me as your apprentice."

Matthew was caught off guard. "Why do you want me to be your mentor?"

Pierre gritted his teeth. "I want my dignity back. I used to believe that people would start to respect me after I graduated from college and worked as a doctor.

"But I guess I was wrong. All I got was humiliation, and every page of my diary noted down all that.

"Alyssa had always encouraged me to become a doctor. I thought she would understand and respect me. Instead, she trampled on my dignity. That's why I want to learn traditional medicine from you."

Pierre witnessed it with his own eyes.

The arrogant Francis, the president of the doctor's association, treated Carson like nothing. But when he saw Matthew, he had to drop to his knees.

This was all Pierre wanted.
