The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 349

A burly man in his forties, accompanied by over a dozen menacing ruffians, barged into the mansion.

“What are you doing? How could you intrude into a private residence like this?” Eugene angrily rebuked them as he stepped forward.

As a result, the man at the forefront raised his hand and slapped Eugene.

Usually, Eugene, who enjoyed practicing the use of swords and staffs, could have avoided it.

However, the suddenness of the situation left him no time to react. He was struck hard by the slap, immediately causing his head to spin and his vision to blur.

The man even waved his hand dismissively. “How dare you speak to me, Mr. Judah, in such a manner? You're asking for a beating.”

A few thugs immediately rushed over, punching and kicking at Eugene.

Hector angrily exclaimed, “What are you doing? Invading a private residence and injuring people in broad daylight? Is there no rule of law anymore?”

The rest of the members of the Chance family were also very angry.

“What are you doing? Stop immediately!” Patrick rose to his feet with a grim expression, signaling to Jennifer to call their bodyguards over the phone.

He always traveled with bodyguards, but in order not to disturb the host, he had them keep their distance.

“My name is Judah, the general manager of a finance company!” The man at the forefront tugged at his collar. “Who among you is Nicolette? Step forward and repay your loan, or I'll have your house ripped apart.”

Nicolette? A loan?

Everyone was taken aback, unable to resist turning their heads to look at Nicolette.

Nicolette was somewhat bewildered. “When did I ever take out a loan?”

Upon graduating from university, she ran a kindergarten with the help of her family. Each term, she was able to enroll four to five hundred students, eliminating any need for a loan.

Moreover, if there was really a need for money, she could simply borrow from Bernice, so there was never any need for a loan.

“So, you're Nicolette. I've been looking for you!”

Upon seeing Nicolette step forward, Judah's eyes lit up, and he even licked his lips. “As for the loan, the one named Braxler is your fiancé, isn't he?”

Nicolette furrowed her brows. “He was my fiancé, but he's already dead. What does this have to do with me? Moreover, you better tell them to stop and let my younger brother go, or else we'll call the police!”

Judah chuckled, signaling his men to release Eugene first.

He took a document from his subordinate standing next to him, “Of course I know he's dead. At first, I thought he was going to run away, which scared the hell out of me and made me take immediate action. So, please repay the money. The principal is four million, while the interest is four million, making the total repayment eight million!”

“That damned Braxler,” Hector cursed, then turned to Judah and said, “But this money has nothing to do with my daughter. They are only engaged, not truly married. Moreover, my daughter has no knowledge of the loan. You all should leave immediately!”

“Nothing to do with her?” Judah countered before bursting into hearty laughter.

As members of the Chance family were left puzzled, Judah steeled his expression and said, “Stargazing Kindergarten belongs to Nicolette, doesn't it?”

Hector frowned. “And what if it is?”

With a snigger, Judah opened a file. “Do you think our finance company lends money without any checks or collateral? This is the document that proves Braxler borrowed from us using Stargazing Kindergarten as collateral. It even has your daughter's guarantee and signature on it. Take a good look, all of you!”

The document was promptly thrown right in front of Hector and the other family members.

Hector hastily picked it up, and Nicolette also rushed over anxiously.

Upon seeing the document stating that Braxler had taken out a loan of four million with an agreed daily interest rate of four percent for a term of three months, the business license of Stargazing Kindergarten, and the signed guarantee from Nicolette, Hector was furious.

“Nickie, how could you agree to let Braxler mortgage the kindergarten? And you even signed a guarantee for him?”

Nicolette hurriedly explained, “Dad, I didn't, I...”

Suddenly recalling something, Nicolette's eyes welled up with tears. “I remember now. He came to me last month, took the business license of Stargazing Kindergarten, and had me sign a few documents. He said it was to reserve a spot for a property and ensure he had the eligibility to purchase it if he liked it after the viewing!”

Upon hearing this, everyone had a sudden realization—Nicolette had been tricked by Braxler.

Sue you? That's never going to happen.

Judah stared intently at Finnegan. “Kid, who do you think you are? How dare you meddle in my affairs? Do you know who I work for—”

“You're such a chatterbox!”

Before Judah could finish speaking, Finnegan rushed up to him. He struck Judah's plump face with a slap, knocking out several of the latter's teeth and sending him sprawling to the ground.

The remaining thugs rushed toward him, shouting, “D*mn it, how dare you lay a hand on Mr. Judah!”

With a swift turn of his body, Finnegan's legs swept through the air, unleashing what seemed to be a shadow kick.

The remaining thugs didn't even have a chance to defend themselves before they fell to the ground, wailing in pain.

Eugene's eyes sparkled. “Wow, Finnegan seems to be really good at fighting!”

Samuel and the others were somewhat surprised, for Finnegan didn't seem like someone who could fight.

Bernice, who had hoped to keep it a secret, awkwardly said, “Finnegan is talented in both literary and martial knowledge, so he's somewhat capable in combat.”

After saying it, she felt a bit uneasy, fearing that her grandparents might think Finnegan was too violent.

Samuel clapped his hands in delight. “Excellent! You are indeed worthy of being my granddaughter's husband. You are both a scholar and a warrior, an exceptional man indeed!”

Willhemina nodded. “Indeed, this child excels in both academia and martial arts. He truly is outstanding.”

Cecilia blurted out, “If Braxler were still alive, he would be nothing compared to Finny!”

Blinking her eyes, Bernice was somewhat bewildered.

What is going on?

Finnegan stood before Judah. “Are you leaving or not?”

Judah angrily said, “Kid, we are from the Martial Arts Alliance. You're in deep trouble now, so just you wait!”
