The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 357

“Mr. Larkin, Mr. Sheppard!”

In the evening, just as Finnegan was about to leave the Martial Arts Alliance to return to the Chance residence, Yadiel hurriedly arrived.

Having just become the president of Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance, he spent an entire afternoon busy familiarizing himself with presidential duties, only managing to find some free time.

Finnegan paused. “Mr. Sherman, are you getting used to this?”

“Not at all.” Yadiel sighed lightly. “The president's affairs are overly complicated. I, being a straightforward person, find it a bit challenging to handle.”

Josef patted his shoulder. “When I first took on the role of president of the Jipsdale Martial Arts Alliance, I was just like you. You'll get used to it over time.”

Yadiel nodded. “I will get the hang of it as soon as possible. Additionally, I encountered some issues while handling the matters left behind by Mr. Farrington. I hope that Mr. Larkin and Mr. Sheppard could provide me with some advice on what should be done?”

Seeing Yadiel's deeply furrowed brow, Finnegan momentarily dismissed the idea of leaving.

He sat down again. “Have a seat, and let's talk.”

With a nod, Yadiel sat down and said, “This is what happened.”

When he dealt with the matters left by Oswald, he focused on auditing the accounts of Oswald Group.

That was because Oswald Group was a business venture of Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance.

Not only was the company responsible for generating revenue for Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance, but it also managed various resources for the Martial Arts Alliance across the eight southern regions.

Now that he was in control of Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance, it was only natural that he first needed to understand the financial situation of Oswald Group.

During the investigation, it was discovered that fifty billion in funds from Oswald Group had mysteriously disappeared.

At this point, Yadiel's brow furrowed deeper. “Mr. Larkin, Mr. Sheppard, this money must have been leaked during Mr. Farrington's tenure. How should I find a way to recover it? Furthermore, within Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance, there were quite a few who had drawn benefits from Oswald Group to varying degrees. How should I deal with these people?”

In the past, he was merely a vice president with a nominal position, spending his days solely focused on improving his cultivation.

Therefore, when it came to matters of management, he was truly clueless!

He felt that if he didn't interfere, things wouldn't work out, but if he did, he might offend someone.

Finnegan pinched the bridge of his nose, thinking about the over twenty billion assets Oswald had extracted before his death, as well as that file containing the leverages of many people.

“Since the fifty billion has seemingly vanished into thin air, let's just consider it non-existent, erase it from our minds. As for those who have been leeching off Oswald Group, give them a warning to cough it up. As long as they're not fools, they'll comply obediently.”

After Yadiel heard this, his eyes widened in disbelief. “Mr. Larkin, you must be joking, right?”

Issuing a warning to those who were leeching off Oswald Group to return what they had consumed wasn't too difficult unless they wished to face severe punishment under the Martial Arts Alliance's rules.

But how could it be possible to just erase the fifty billion as if they never existed?

Finnegan retorted, “Do I look like I'm joking?”

The whereabouts of that fifty billion were unknown. Apart from what Oswald had embezzled, he undoubtedly used the rest to curry favor with others.

And who were the people that could command respect from Oswald?

Reflecting on the documents he had received, Finnegan knew very well that he couldn't pursue it further.

At least for the time being, it couldn't be pursued.

Otherwise, Yadiel would inevitably face covert retaliation, and he wouldn't even know how he died.

However, Yadiel was a man of straightforward character, unable to perceive the underlying danger. “Mr. Larkin, I am grateful for your support in my becoming the president of Nuthana Martial Arts Alliance. I would also like to heed your advice. But in this matter concerning the interests of the Martial Arts Alliance, I'm afraid I cannot comply! I will definitely find a way to recover those fifty billion to protect the interests of the Martial Arts Alliance!”

The corner of Finnegan's mouth twitched.

How on earth has this guy managed to survive until now?

Given his contentious nature, had no one ever thought of getting rid of him?

Finnegan couldn't help but look at Josef somewhat speechlessly. “Do you think so, too?”

D*mn it!

Yadiel asked, “Mr. Larkin, what's the matter?”

However, Finnegan didn't respond. He found Alisha's number and dialed it. “Where are your people? Are they all dead?”

Ever since Rocky took Bernice away, Finnegan had arranged for Alisha to secretly have someone follow her.

However, Bernice had been taken away by someone again.

“I was just about to call you,” Alisha said, a hint of grievance in her voice. “Bernice has been taken away, but my people didn't dare to intervene. Or rather, even if they did, it would have been futile. They might have even lost their lives.”

Upon hearing this, Finnegan's expression grew even darker. “Which young master is he?”

Anyone who could intimidate Alisha into inaction must be a man of such stature that even the Wahlstrom family dared not provoke.

Alisha didn't dare to beat around the bush. “Corbin.”

“Corbin? Who is that?”

Upon hearing this name, Finnegan felt a vague sense of familiarity, but he couldn't recall it at the moment.

Yadiel took over the conversation, “Mr. Larkin, Corbin is the son of Jasper. He's the one who contradicted you this morning and ended up being slapped unconscious by Mr. Sheppard.”

It's him?

With a chuckle, Finnegan said, “Vixen, lock onto the address and send it to me!”

After hanging up the phone, Finnegan strode out without a second thought.

A slight tremor stirred in Josef's heart. “Should I have Yadiel accompany you? Corbin's grandfather is, after all, one of the Five Great Elders.”

It seemed as if Finnegan didn't hear anything at all. He dialed Doom Star's phone number. “Get in touch with Stephen. Ask him to arrange a helicopter to bring you and Duncan to Capston.”

“Me? Someone's going to be killed!”
