The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 371

“D*mn, what the hell? How could it possibly happen six times in a row?”

“I've been playing this drinking game for many years, yet I've never seen anything like this before.”

“Finnegan, you're incredibly lucky, aren't you?”

“How come I feel like this isn't just about luck anymore?”

As Casper's debt was being offset, Hunter and his group lost five games in a row.

Not only did they not receive a single penny from Finnegan, but everyone also owed the latter five bottles of wine.

This also led them to inevitably suspect that Wilbur was helping Finnegan cheat.

Otherwise, how could it possibly be that Finnegan had five-of-a-kind six consecutive times?

However, due to Wilbur's status as the general manager of Golden Archway, they dared not complain.

Finnegan patted the stack of bright red bills. “Want to play some more?”

Originally, some of them began to hesitate, but when they saw one million in cash, their thoughts of backing down were scattered by greed.

“Let's continue! However, for the next part, you can't shake it yourself. We'll assign someone to do it for you.”

Hunter furrowed his brows as he put forth his thoughts.

Zeke and the others immediately nodded in agreement, feeling that their continuous losses were due to Wilbur's manipulation.

Finnegan stopped Wilbur who was about to lose his temper. “Alright, I'll let you guys decide. I absolutely won't touch this dice cup today.”

Upon hearing this, Hunter and the others were filled with joy.

“Let Pretty Maddy help you with it.”

Glancing back at Madison, Finnegan nodded. “Alright, let's carry on!”

Seeing Finnegan's agreement, Hunter and the others once again shook the dice cup with newfound enthusiasm.

Madison took a seat next to Finnegan, hesitating before she said, “Finnegan, I don't know how to shake it!”

“Don't worry. Luck is a fickle thing. You can just shake it however you please.”

Seeing that Finnegan was indifferent, Madison picked up the dice cup, gave it a shake, and set it back down.

Hunter and his group were the first to open it.

And then, Hunter was heard laughing heartily. “Finnegan, you owe me money this time, don't you?”

Five of a kind!

Zeke also broke into laughter. “Although I don't have five fives, four sixes are not small either. It seems that Pretty Maddy is our lucky star. With her arrival, our fortunes are about to change.”

Without even sparing a glance, Finnegan said, “Go ahead.”

Nodding her head, Madison lifted the lid of the dice cup.

The smiles on Hunter and Zeke's faces subsequently froze.

How could this be possible? It's another five-of-a-kind!

From the beginning until now, this was already the seventh hand.

Finnegan took a sip of his wine. “It seems changing the shaker is pointless because I'm on a lucky streak tonight. Do you all want to continue? If you're not playing, I'll be leaving with this million.”

With the money right before their eyes, there was no way Hunter and his companions could possibly remain calm.

He immediately declared, “Let's continue!”

Madison stole a glance at Finnegan, then continued to roll the dice for him.

As it turned out, Finnegan seemed to be incredibly lucky. In the following ten rounds, he continued to get another five-of-a-kind.

In total, seventeen rounds of five-of-a-kind were played consecutively.

At this point, Hunter and his companions could no longer hold back their rage. “Finnegan, you must have cheated. How else could you possibly have had five-of-a-kind seventeen times in a row?”

“That's right. We refuse to accept it. You cheated.”

“Enjoy the game as it is. Why do you need to cheat?”

Finnegan patted his pant leg and stood up. “Being classmates is a bond that lasts a lifetime. Tonight, I'll cover everyone's expenses, so please enjoy yourselves. I'll be taking my leave now.”

Otherwise, with him sitting there, everyone was too intimidated to have a good time.

Moreover, the befuddled Cindy was waiting alone in the car.

Madison quickly stood up and asked, “Finnegan, may I leave with you?”

“I need to send Casper back, so it might not be convenient.”

Recalling his history with Madison, Finnegan quickly came up with an excuse.

As a result, Casper, who had recovered considerably, raised his hand and said, “I'm much better now. Since Hunter and the other jerks have been dealt with, I'd like to spend some more time with everyone. I take a cab home later.”

The corner of Finnegan's mouth twitched.

Buddy, did you do that on purpose? Don't you know how awkward it is for me to face Madison alone?

With a playful tone, Madison asked, “Is it convenient now? Or... shall we have our conversation in a private room?”

Those words were spoken out loud, in front of so many former classmates no less.

Finnegan knew that it would be inappropriate to refuse any further.

Feeling helpless, he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Let's find a private room to chat for a few minutes. I have other matters to attend to.”

“Sure!”

Once Finnegan and Madison had left, everyone else quickly gathered around Casper.

They questioned him about Finnegan, even asking why Madison had sought out Finnegan for a private conversation.

At that moment, Casper, feeling particularly elated, deliberately kept them in suspense. “Guess!”

“Stop wasting time and spit it out already.”

Some close classmates gave Casper a nudge, laughing and teasing him.

Casper chuckled lightly, saying, “To be honest, I'm not entirely sure myself. All I know is that Finnegan changed after he returned. Not only did he become wealthy, but he also mastered medical skills and gained tremendous fighting abilities. In fact, the miracle doctor of Jadeborough, Jerome Magnussen, reveres Finnegan as his master. He even gifted Finnegan Jerome Medical Clinic. As for Pretty Maddy asking to chat privately with Finnegan, their story dates back to their senior year in high school.”
