The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 384

“Finnegan!”

Upon seeing Finnegan's indifferent demeanor, Cameron finally caved in. “You've won!”

Raising the dagger in his hand, he severed the tendons of his left hand directly. Then, clenching his teeth, he cut through the tendons of his right hand.

Lindsey cried out, “Stan!”

While striking Finnegan with her hand, she exclaimed, “It was wrong of Stan to try to kill you, but he had no control over himself. Why are you behaving this way? Are you even human?”

“Enough!” Finnegan roared. “No one in this world is compelled to kill without control. And his actions, the innocents he has harmed over these years, did they deserve to die?”

The roar, as loud as a booming bell, left Lindsey stunned and motionless on the spot.

It seemed as though Finnegan had also lost his patience.

Grasping Lindsey by the neck, he flung her away. “You have no sense of right and wrong. You might as well die with your brother!”

Cameron's face turned pale. “Linnie!”

He hurriedly rushed over, intending to catch Lindsey.

A glint of cold light flashed in Finnegan's eyes.

Brandishing a long sword, he charged forward, raising it high.

In mid-air, Lindsey glanced back, only to see Finnegan about to attack Cameron.

She then cried out in terror, “No!”

Cameron also noticed it.

However, at that moment, he was utterly incapable of reacting, and the inconvenience of his hands also affected his speed.

The blade came down in a sweeping horizontal slash.

It extended directly from the nape of Cameron's neck to his pelvic bone.

The skin was peeled back, revealing the bone beneath.

Cameron staggered forward, spewing a mouthful of fresh blood.

Doom Star and Duncan struck simultaneously, their blade and sword seamlessly piercing into Cameron's body.

The woman, who had disguised herself as Rhiannon, raised her hand and struck out with a palm. Cameron flew out, tumbling into the river and splashing up water mixed with fresh blood.

Lindsey, who had fallen to the ground, disregarded her pain and discomfort. Crying out, she scrambled to her feet and leaped into the river, shouting, “Stan!”

Finnegan tossed his long sword to the ground and walked to the riverbank, watching as Lindsey dove into the water to rescue her brother.

“Was that not too much? She might resent you for the rest of her life.” Alisha cast a complex glance. She could hardly believe that Finnegan could be so cold-hearted.

Taking a deep breath, Finnegan asked, “So, what can I do?”

Alisha opened her mouth, only to realize that it seemed Finnegan had no other choice. “So, what do we do now?”

Twisting his neck, Finnegan said, “Arrange for someone to take Rhia to Ms. Haimowitz. Instruct Ms. Haimowitz not to mention tonight's events to Rhia once she wakes up.”

Alisha nodded. “All right. And what about Lindsey?”

“I'll handle her myself!”

With a quiet sigh, Finnegan headed toward the depths of the orchard. The woman, disguised as Bernice, followed him in.

After advancing about fifty meters deep, Finnegan halted his steps. “I owe you one for today, Septem!”

The woman removed her mask, revealing a beautiful visage that appeared to be in her thirties, full of charm. “This is General Reynard's order. If you want to express gratitude, go thank General Reynard!”

And she was none other than Septem Tree, one of the Ten Warrior Generals of Dragon Team under Regulus Pavilion.

Finnegan dropped the formalities with her. “Of course, I will express my gratitude to Rey. Besides, there's another matter I need your help with.”

Perhaps it was due to excessive grief, but after a brief moment, Lindsey's eyes rolled back, and she fainted.

Finnegan walked over and lifted her into his arms. “Vixen, I'll leave the rest to you.”

Two hours later, Romona stepped into the Wright residence, where she met Nathan.

Seated comfortably in the courtyard, the elder who knew everything in Nuthana asked, “Is it all taken care of?”

Romona nodded. “Everything has been taken care of. Beckett and his people have accepted the explanation, believing that it was Cameron who killed Sabrina and Christopher in order to frame Finnegan!”

“Ah! Finnegan!” Nathan exclaimed. “He's not only taken out Cameron, but he's also protecting Cameron's sister.”

“He truly thought so. But wasn't Finnegan a bit too ruthless?”

Nathan retorted, “Setting aside the factor of Lindsey, is Finnegan still cold-hearted?”

At that time, Romona felt that Finnegan's coldness was merely due to Lindsey's presence, coupled with Finnegan's attitude toward Lindsey.

Romona was well aware of it herself, but she still felt somewhat uneasy. “Regardless, he is just cold-hearted. I've made up my mind.”

“Silly girl. Instead of perceiving Finnegan as cold-hearted, you'd better pay more attention to the major ports leading into Jadeborough!”

Upon hearing that, Romona asked, “Why?”

Nathan replied, “Once Blood Moon takes a contract, they won't rest until the target is eliminated. Now that Cameron is dead, Blood Moon will undoubtedly send other assassins, perhaps even those of a higher rank than Cameron.”

If Cameron alone could cause an uproar in Jadeborough and Capston, a stronger assassin could only cause even more trouble.

Romona's mind focused intently. “Understood. I will immediately arrange for people to monitor all major ports, staying alert for any suspicious individuals entering the country!”

After Romona departed, Nathan hummed a tune while gazing into the night sky. His eyes became profound and solemn.

Clearly, there was something on his mind.
