The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 386

Finnegan's gaze intensified as he stopped teasing Alisha.

“What happened?” he asked, quickly putting on the clothes he had just taken off.

Alisha responded anxiously, “My dad was attacked, and his life is in danger!”

The incident had occurred half an hour ago.

Alisha's father, Bradley, was ambushed by dozens of masked assailants on his way home from his morning workout.

They appeared out of nowhere and attacked without hesitation.

Given that Bellridge was the stronghold of the Wahlstrom family, Bradley had become somewhat lax in his security, only accompanied by ten guards.

Within moments, they were overwhelmed, and Bradley was severely injured.

Pulling up his pants, Finnegan asked, “Those masked men have been taken care of, right?”

Alisha spoke bitterly. “Those people were well-trained. They appeared and withdrew in less than a minute. By the time my family arrived, the scene was left with only my unconscious father and ten of our family's elites who had been killed! I believe they assumed my dad was dead when they left. They have no idea he's still hanging on.”

Finnegan raised an eyebrow. “Those masked men seem to be no ordinary people!”

Those who could protect Bradley were not just ordinary people. If not capable of taking on a hundred single-handedly, they were at least elite warriors who could face ten opponents at once.

Yet, those masked individuals managed to swiftly conclude the battle and evacuate in less than a minute.

It was clear that they were elite, just like the ten individuals by Bradley's side.

This was the only way they could completely crush the enemies.

Alisha exclaimed bitterly, “It must be Seth who sent them! Since we declared war, he has attacked our family more than once. He even sent people to assassinate my grandfather twice.”

Finnegan patted her shoulder and said, “Currently, it does seem most likely to be Seth. However, we shouldn't rule out the possibility of someone stirring the waters, using the name of the Zymons family to target your family.”

“So you're suggesting that those masked individuals might not necessarily be from the Zymons family? But how could they not be?”

Knowing that Alisha had already concluded it was Seth, Finnegan didn't bother arguing with her. “Let's discuss it later. Now, contact your grandfather and ask where they are.”

Alisha said, “They are on a helicopter. It took off just over ten minutes ago, so they surely haven't reached Jadeborough yet.”

“Then have your grandfather change the flight route and come to Dragon Bay!”

Twenty minutes later, Alisha received a call from Theoden. The helicopter would arrive at Dragon Bay in five minutes.

Alisha quickly gathered medical personnel from the hospital to wait at the helipad of Dragon Bay No.

Dozens of the Wahlstrom family's elite quickly dispersed, remaining on guard.

However, as the helicopter, appearing as a small dot, approached, Alisha received another call.

Whatever was said on the other end left her face instantly pale. “What?”

Her legs gave way, and she stumbled backward, losing balance.

With quick reflexes, Finnegan caught her. “What's wrong?” he asked.

Alisha slowly lowered her phone, eyes reddening. “A relative of mine just received news. He said my Uncle Barry, who is in charge of Sparaville, was attacked just now. He and thirty of his bodyguards were killed, and the attackers are now untraceable. That relative told me to find a chance to tell Grandpa about this as he didn't dare to inform Grandpa himself.”

Upon hearing this, Finnegan frowned immediately.

Something seemed amiss.

Suddenly, Finnegan had a startling realization. “Quickly, call your Uncle Dalton and your Uncle George. Tell them to increase their defenses. I suspect someone not only wants to attack your father and Uncle Barry but also has plans for your Uncle Dalton and Uncle George! Because if your father and the others all die, your family's control over various regions will decrease.”

Upon hearing this, Alisha was greatly shocked.

She hurriedly suppressed her grief over Barry's death and was about to make a call.

But just as she found the number for Dalton Wahlstrom, the same relative who called her gave her another call.

In the tumultuous sea, dozens of people wearing wetsuits and diving masks had appeared at some point.

As soon as they appeared, they took down over a dozen unsuspecting elites from the Wahlstrom family.

Their techniques were clean and efficient, without any unnecessary moves.

Moreover, they had a very clear target and were charging straight toward Theoden.

Finnegan's eyes narrowed. “Interesting, they've all chosen to ambush here!”

These people were clearly accomplices of those who attacked Bradley.

However, Finegan hadn't expected that they would even target Theoden.

Theoden's gaze darkened, and he naturally knew what was going on. “You have a death wish!”

A figure burst forth from the cabin, the might of a Terra Realm fighter in the Intermediate Rank gushing out.

It was Spencer Klausen, the disciple of one of the Five Unparalleled, Helmuth Bach.

With a sweep of his palm, two attackers spat blood and fell to the ground, their vitality severed.

Finnegan gave a nod as his gaze swept over Bradley, who was lying on the stretcher. His entire body was already stained red with fresh blood. “Carry him and follow me!” he commanded.

Meanwhile, he said to Doom Star, who had arrived after hearing the commotion, “Leave a few alive.”

Doom Star nodded slightly, brandishing his saber as he charged forward, joining forces with Spencer to confront the attackers.

Alisha supported Theoden, suppressing the grief in her heart, “Grandpa, let's go. Leave this to Mr. Klausen and Doom Star for now!”

Theoden said with a grim face, “No, I want to see who exactly sent these people.”

“It must be Seth. Do we still need to check?”
