The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 387

Theoden's gaze was somber, “Seth? He's not that capable!”

Alisha asked in confusion, “Seth isn't that capable?”

“What do you think of this group of people?” Theoden asked as he pointed at the dozens of attackers who were fiercely battling Spencer and Doom Star.

After taking a look, Alisha responded, “They are well-trained. Their coordination with each other is incredibly seamless. Collectively, they don't resemble dozens of individuals but rather a single entity.”

Theoden sneered, “Do you think Seth could have trained such an elite force where a dozen of them combined could hold their own against a Grandmaster? Or rather, could the Wahlstrom family have groomed such elite warriors?”

Upon hearing this, Alisha came to a realization. “Could it be, as Finnegan suggested, that someone is stirring up trouble, using the Zymons family's name to attack our family?”

After being reminded by Theoden, she realized that even the Wahlstrom family couldn't train such elite warriors.

Despite their control over several states, the Wahlstrom family wasn't capable of cultivating such elite forces, let alone the Zymons family.

With a deep voice, Theoden said, “So, I need to find out who exactly is behind this.”

The dozens of attackers were formidable. Even when facing Spencer, who was an Intermediate Rank Terra Realm cultivator, and Doom Star, who was also a Terra Realm cultivator, they showed no fear. They fought fiercely with the two, demonstrating a remarkable synergy.

However, the power of a Grandmaster was undeniable in the end.

As time passed, they fell one after another, gradually overwhelmed and crushed by Spencer and Doom Star until they could no longer mount an effective resistance.

Even though they had lost their numerical advantage, they did not retreat an inch.

Among them, some even risked their lives to charge toward Theoden and Alisha.

However, they were all intercepted by the elite forces of the Wahlstrom family and were subsequently annihilated by Spencer and Doom Staring.

When they were down to just seven or eight people, one of them quickly retreated toward the seaside, shouting, “Retreat!”

The rest of the group reacted swiftly, showing no desire to linger in battle.

“Do you think you can come and go as you please in Dragon Bay?

Suddenly, Finnegan's voice echoed from within the mansion.

The next moment, about eight attackers eerily fell to the ground, as if all their strength had been drained in an instant.

Following that, Finnegan's voice echoed once more. “Break their limbs, shatter their jaws, and make them wish they were dead!”

Doom Star swiftly advanced, raising his fist to strike their jaws first, leaving them unable to close their mouths. After that, he twisted and broke their limbs. Only then did he stop.

Theoden nodded and said, “Check their teeth!”

Several elite members of the Wahlstrom family swiftly moved forward to investigate.

“Old Mr. Wahlstrom, their molars are hollow, hiding something that looks like a capsule inside.”

Upon hearing this, Theoden was taken aback and exclaimed in admiration, “Dr. Larkin, your predictions are truly remarkable!”

Alisha was secretly taken aback. “Grandpa, aren't these people essentially death soldiers?”

The capsule hidden within the teeth was clearly poison, intended for suicide at a critical moment.

Theoden turned around and said, “That's why it's even less likely that Zymons family trained them. Seth doesn't have the capability to groom death soldiers.”

Nodding, Alisha instructed the elite of the Wahlstrom family, “Clean up the scene, and guard those who are still alive.”

As noon quickly arrived, all traces of the attackers had been completely erased. The survivors were dragged to the back garden of Dragon Bay No. 1 Villa, while the dead were sent directly to the crematorium.

Finnegan had also finished treating Bradley and left the room.

After a long wait, Theoden hurriedly stepped forward.

Alisha also asked anxiously, “Finnegan, how is my father doing?”

Several elite members of the Wahlstrom family immediately began their skilled interrogation.

The seven attackers were evidently well-trained. No matter how ruthlessly the Wahlstrom family's elite tortured and tormented them, they stoically remained silent, refusing to divulge a single detail.

In fact, not even a single scream was heard.

Finnegan watched with a smirk subconsciously emerging. “Old Mr. Wahlstrom, my advice is to stop the interrogation. Just finish them off, and take them straight to the crematorium!”

“Are we to stop the interrogation?”

Theoden furrowed his brows.

Finnegan patted his shoulder, speaking in a solemn tone. “It's impossible for the Zymons family to have cultivated death soldiers of such caliber. If you continue this interrogation, you might bring trouble upon yourself.”

Upon hearing this, Theoden frowned further as he pondered over what Finnegan's words truly meant.

Right then, Finnegan popped a question. “Old Mr. Wahlstrom, why did the ancient courtiers, despite knowing that the emperor wanted to kill them, chose not to make a fuss and pretended to be ignorant?”

The epiphany Theoden suddenly had caused his body to shudder.

He then sighed deeply. “Dr. Larkin, I understand now!”

With a wave of his hand, he commanded, “Take them all away and kill them. Do not disturb the tranquility of Dr. Larkin's home.”

The seven attackers were swiftly taken away.

Theoden then let out a wry smile, saying, “Some people can kill me, yet I can't fight back. In fact, I even have to feign ignorance. This world is truly unfair!”

Finnegan said, “Consider it from another perspective. Isn't the Wahlstrom family viewed the same way by many others? If you were ordinary folk like them, you could only hold your tongue and feign ignorance even if you knew they were conspiring with the Zymons family to destroy you.”

Theoden heaved a deep sigh. “Ah, the rules of social hierarchy!”

Finnegan looked out at the horizon. “Indeed, this is the rule of social pyramid, unchanging through the ages. Even if they have already killed your two sons, you can only bear with it in silence!”
