The Heartbreak Prescription novel Chapter 886

Chapter 886

Shaun called after Halsey from behind, but she didn’t look back.

Seconds later, Shaun’s vision went black, and he collapsed again. With a loud thud, he hit the ground.

Halsey spun around when she heard the noise, her pupils contracting. “Shaun!”

She started to run toward him, but just then, a familiar figure appeared-it was Chelsea.

Chelsea rushed over to Shaun’s side. “Shaun? Shaun!”

Halsey froze mid-step, suddenly remembering the deal she had made with Chelsea.

She would walk away from Shaun, and Chelsea would hand over the Snowpeak Bloom.

“Mr. Lane!” Martin came running over at that moment. “Doctor! We need help here!”

Martin and the medical team hurried over, scrambling to get Shaun off the floor and back into the hospital room.

Chelsea walked up to Halsey. “Hi. I’ve been waiting for your good news. You and Shaun broke up, didn’t you?”

Halsey nodded. “We did.”

Chelsea nodded with satisfaction. “Good.”

“Can you hand over the Snowpeak Bloom now?”

“Of course. I’ll give it to Shaun myself. You can go now. From here on out, Shaun’s affairs have nothing to do with you.”

Chelsea was clearly pushing Halsey to leave.

“Will you really love him well?” Halsey asked.

Chelsea nodded. “Of course I will! Go now. The next time you see Shaun, he’ll be doing much better. And by then, you two will truly be over.”

Shaun would get better-but they would be finished.

Halsey slowly clenched her hands into fists at her sides. “Alright.”

Then, she turned and walked away. She forced herself to leave the hospital, fighting the pain

in her chest.

Halsey didn’t go back to see Shaun again. Word was, Chelsea stayed by his side the entire time,

and he was discharged a week later.

Later, Wendy called her. She said she had performed a six-hour facial surgery on Shaun, and the operation was a complete success. After a month of recovery, his face would fully heal.

Halsey heard all of this through other people. She didn’t dare contact Shaun.

Because it was truly over between them.

Halsey told herself she was happy-Shaun was doing better. Everything had turned out alright.

Despite that, she still couldn’t stop the pain. Some nights, she would lie awake, wondering how he was doing now.

The truth was, she was going crazy wanting to see him. Even if it was just from far away, just one glance.

Patricia had started to notice the change in her mood. “What’s going on with you lately? You’ve been so down.”

Halsey didn’t want to worry her parents, so she never said anything about her and Shaun. “I’m fine. I’ve just been really tired from all the design work.”
