Chapter 947

Martin raised his hand. “Take him down!”

The black-suited bodyguards rushed forward and immediately grabbed the doctor.

All the other masked doctors and nurses in white coats were also rounded up and restrained.

Shaun held Halsey tightly in his arms, his cold eyes blazing with fury. “What did you do to her? If you hurt her or the baby, I’ll make sure you all pay with your lives!”

The doctor was drenched in cold sweat. Gilbert had just left, and now Shaun was here. He regretted agreeing to this surgery at all.

Fearing for his life, he could only repeat what Gilbert and Chelsea had instructed him to say.

“Mr. Lane, we didn’t hurt Ms. Mallin. Sh-she was the one who didn’t want the baby. She came here on her own to terminate the

pregnancy.”

Shaun froze like a statue. He stared at the doctor, stunned. “What did you just say?”

“You heard me,” said the doctor. “Ms. Mallin didn’t want the baby. She said it was an accident; she said she didn’t want to be a mother and didn’t want to bring the child into the world. That was why she scheduled the abortion.”

The nurses quickly chimed in, “Yes, Mr. Lane! Ms. Mallin didn’t want to keep the baby. We’re just here to perform the procedure. Please don’t take it out on us.”

Shaun’s ears buzzed, his head spinning.

Halsey didn’t want the baby?

She didn’t want to bring their child into the world?

She came here to end the pregnancy?

No. No way.

Shaun gently laid Halsey down and stood up. He stormed over to the doctor and kicked the latter hard in the chest. “You’re lying! Halsey would never do that. You’re making this up!”

The doctor clutched his chest and gasped, “We’re not lying!”

Martin stepped forward. “Mr. Lane, all abortion procedures have to be registered in the hospital system. I’ll go check now to see if Ms. Mallin actually scheduled this one.”

Shaun snapped, “Go. Now.”

Martin ran out.

Shaun glared at the kneeling doctor. “If you’re lying, you’re dead.”

Soon, Martin came rushing back in. “I checked the system.”

Shaun’s face was pale. “It’s a lie, right? It has to be! Halsey wouldn’t give up the baby.”

Martin hesitated. “I found the registration form in the system. Ms. Mallin scheduled the procedure herself.”

Shaun froze. “What did you just say?”

Martin cautiously looked at his face. “It’s true… She made the appointment.”

The doctors and nurses on the floor let out a sigh of relief. Thankfully, they had prepared for this.

1/3

request form was a signature-Halsey’s.

She didn’t want the baby.

Shaun staggered back several steps, unable to believe it.
