The Heartbroken Luna's Choice Banish Love novel Chapter 101

Chapter 101

Trista’s POV

It was Attwater who struck first.

Et Finishes

If Samantha chose to press charges, taking the case to the Werewolf Council or even the Royal Elders, Attwater would receive an indelible stain on his recorda permanent mark that future assessors would see, like an unchewable bone shard.

Suppressing the turbulence in my throat, I calmed Attwater down and sent him home first.

Then I followed the ambulance to the Royal Healing Center. I supervised Samantha’s full examination: bone scans, gland reaction tests, and pheromone residue sampling. Nothing was skipped.

After Samantha was moved to an isolation ward, Attwater, still worried, followed.

The moment he stepped in, Cassian arrived.

As Cassian walked into the ward, his Alpha aura descended like an iron curtain, ruthlessly smothering the entire space.

The chaotic pheromones were violently flattened, like flames doused with cold water. The remnants of Attwater’s aggressive impulses were forcibly pushed back down his throat by that absolute display of rank. Even his breathing tightened.

Cassian didn’t look at either of us.

He walked straight past Attwater and me, stopping by Samantha’s bed.

Seeing him, Samantha’s tears immediately began to fall.

Her wolf gave a subtle tremble beneath her skin, which she intentionally suppressedshe made herself softer, weaker, more like someone who needed protection.

She propped herself up and sobbed, collapsing into Cassian’s arms.

Cassian instinctively glanced toward me.

I looked away, avoiding him like a noxious fume.

He gently pushed Samantha away, his voice steady, like an interrogator. Take a breath. What exactly happened?

Samantha wiped her tears, her gaze briefly sweeping over Attwater and me, her voice still trembling softly. Cassian, I’m so sorry. I heard Trista was back, and I just wanted to go apologize to herto encourage her to return to your house and get back to you.”

Attwater snapped forward in rage. You’re lying!

I grabbed his arm, clamping my palm down, forcing his pheromones back. Attwater, go home now.

The corners of his eyes were red, ready to burst. That woman needs a lesson!

I dragged him back, forcing him to stay still, forcing him not to hand over any more leverage.

Finished.

Samantha acted startled by our exchange and quickly spoke again. Cassian, it’s true. I even brought Trista fruit and holiday treats. The driver can confirm it-

Cassian looked toward the driver waiting by the door.

The driver instantly straightened his spine, his tone firm as a declaration. The lady is telling the truth! If she hadn’t kindly begged me not to call the police, it would have been worse!

Samantha gave us no chance to speak, pointing at Attwater. He came at me without warning, kicked me into the road, and tried to get me hit by a car!

Attwater was young and easily provoked.

He violently ripped himself from my grasp and lunged at her, a wolf’s howl catching in his throat. Go to hell!

The next second, Cassian stood up.

His action was barely exerted, yet he easily intercepted Attwater’s swing, his hand clamping down on his wrist, locking the frantic young wolf.

Samantha shrieked, burrowing into his chest. Her soft pheromones instantly clung to his collar, like a sticky mist.

Cassian held Attwater’s arm, his eyes as cold as blades. Attwater, say sorry to her.

Attwater’s forehead veins bulged with pain. He gritted his teeth, doubling over. Go to hell! Let go of me!

I rushed forward, trying to pry Cassian’s hand open, my fingers digging into his skin. Cassian, let go of him!

The ward dissolved into chaos. Pheromones slammed against the containment wall like waves hitting a reef. My wolf roared in my chest, but the invisible thread of the mating bond was abruptly yanked tight, making the back of my neck prickle with pain.

Samantha lowered her head, seemingly gasping, seemingly terrified.

But I saw the nearly hidden curve of victory on her lips.

When she looked up again, she was back to the role of the soft conciliator. Cassian, please don’t be so angry on my account. It’s just soft tissue damage, nothing serious. Please, let the boy go-

Cassian kept one hand locked on Attwater’s wrist. With the other, he clamped my shoulder and hauled me in front of him.
