Chapter 484 A Pleasant Meal
Finished
What made it worse was watching Floyd eat with pure joy, completely ignoring her as if she didn’t exist.
That pushed Sabrina anger even higher.
She began to feel that coming here at all had been a mistake.
Sabrina had gained nothing for herself and was treated so differently.
Worst of all, she felt that Amelia was trying to embarrass her and put her down.
Because of her good manners and strong self-control, Sabrina showed no anger or displeasure on her face.
But once the meal ended, she simply couldn’t stay any longer.
She quickly made up an excuse about returning to PharmaCore 01 and left in a hurry.
If she didn’t leave right then, she was sure even more awkward moments were waiting for her.
As for Floyd, she would deal with him properly once they got home.
Sabrina slipped out of the estate in embarrassment. Next time? No way. Even if someone dragged her here. she would never come back to suffer like this again.
Compared to Sabrina’s frustration and humiliation, Whitney knew nothing about it. She didn’t care, either.
Her attention was fully on getting along with her future daughter-in-law.
If she could help her son win Amelia over before her vacation ended, she would finally feel at ease.
“Oh, right, Amelia,” Whitney said casually while they sat in the living room eating fruit and chatting, as if she had just remembered.
“There’s an auction tomorrow. I heard there are some really good items, including a few rare herbs. I’m curious myself. Want to go take a look together?”
“An herb auction?” Amelia paused and asked.
She guessed it might include some hard-to-find or nearly extinct medicinal plants.
“It’s not just about expensive herbs,” Whitney explained quickly. “There will be all kinds of items. It just happens that a few herbs are included.”
As if worried Amelia might refuse, Whitney immediately looped her arm through her.
“Come with me, please. That brat has social events tomorrow and can’t go. Bridget already made plans with
her friends.
“You know I’m always stuck at PharmaCore 01. I barely socialize and don’t really have friends,” she said softly. “Will you go with me?”
Bridget, who was listening nearby, rolled her eyes.

Chapter 484 A Pleasant Meal
When did I ever tell you I had plans with my friends and couldn’t go?
I never said that. Not once.
Or my daughter-in-law just trying to leave her out on purpose?
Hmph. It’s just an auction anyway. No big deal. If she didn’t invite me, I won’t go.
“Alright,” Amelia nodded.

She hadn’t been busy lately; attending an auction and see what kind of herbs they had seemed like a decent day out.
“Anything you like, just bid for it,” Jeremy said calmly. “I’ll have my assistant handle the payment.”
Wow. Just listen to that.
That’s the classic tycoon tone-cool, bold, and generous.
Filthy rich!
“Hehe, that’s great,” Whitney said with a wide smile. “With Jeremy paying, we can bid as much as we want.”
She even exchanged a quick look with her son, as if they had planned this already.
She was genuinely happy. There was no way she was touching her savings.
If her son was paying, why not enjoy it?
“It’s just an auction,” Bridget added casually after hearing them talk. “It won’t cost that much. I’ll sponsor a bit too. Go and have fun.”
She had never liked owing people favors.
Amelia had let her try Jeremy’s cooking and saved her pride. The meal had been quite pleasant.
Even though she didn’t like Amelia much, it was only right to return the favor. Hmph.
“Oh, thank you, Bridget,” Whitney replied instantly, without hesitation.
She then said excitedly to Amelia, “Amelia, Bridget is usually very stingy. She never gives a dime.”
“It’s rare for her to be this generous,” she added with a laughi. “We can’t waste this chance, hehe.”
Bridget’s jaw dropped. She had no words.
Bitch! Where is your manner?
Am I dead or deaf?
Hmph.
Figures. I seriously couldn’t get along with this bitch.

Good thing she spent most of her time at work. If they had to be together every day, she’d probably get a heart attack before anything else.
Nygard Residence.
“Mom, there’s an auction tomorrow; do you want to go and check it out together?”
Gianna held onto Emery’s arm, her posture soft and close. She looked gentle and well-behaved, every bit the sweet and thoughtful daughter.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
