Maxwell was still shaken.
Whenever he sprawled on the couch with his phone, he was the most absentminded person alive. What if he suddenly jerked upright or accidentally slammed an elbow into his sister's stomach? If that happened, he would become the greatest sinner in both the Nygard and Curran families.
Amelia was speechless.
Was it really that serious?
"Oh, come on. You two don't have to be this jumpy. Relax. Seriously, relax."
She patted the empty spot beside her, trying to ease the tension with a light tone. "It's not like I'm carrying a glass doll in there. I'm not that fragile.
"Besides, I've only just gotten pregnant. This is exactly when I'm supposed to keep moving around a little. You can't seriously treat me like some empress dowager."
That was what she said, but looking at Maxwell standing there like he was facing a national emergency, she could not help wanting to laugh.
He had shot to his feet so fast just now, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
Even now, he still looked rattled, eyes wide and round, as if she had not been about to sit down but about to set off a bomb.
Marcelo immediately backed him up. "Maxwell's right. Better safe than sorry. You're our top priority now. Any possible risk has to be eliminated."
Amelia let out a helpless sigh. These two brothers were more dramatic than ever.
"It's really not that serious. I feel basically no different from a normal person. I..."
She broke off mid-sentence as nausea surged again. The next second, she gagged.
She quickly grabbed the trash can beside her. "Ugh..."
Then she started throwing up.
At this point, she was used to it. She threw up every day.
The family knew her pregnancy symptoms had been rough lately, so they had prepared more trash cans than anyone could count and placed them all over the house for her convenience.
"Okay, yes, I throw up once in a while, but I really don't think it's that big a deal. You guys..."
Amelia wiped the corner of her mouth, trying to calm her brothers down.
As expected, before she could finish, both of them were already panicking.
"Oh my God, it's still this bad? What do we do? How long can she keep throwing up like this?"
"So women really do have it this hard when they're pregnant? It's all Jeremy's fault. That little punk is putting our sister through this. He should be the one carrying the baby!"
"M-maybe we should go visit Dad's grave," he managed. "Light a candle, say a prayer. Ask him to look out for her up there."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
