As for the hospital bag, that had already been taken care of. They had reserved a VIP delivery suite well in advance, and it came fully equipped with everything they could possibly need.
The moment Amelia went into labor, both families found out. Everyone rushed to the hospital at once.
Jeremy had actually been allowed to go into the delivery room with her, but Amelia refused. She didn't want him seeing her in such a miserable state and insisted on delivering the baby on her own.
After a long, grueling half day, and with both the doctors and Amelia doing everything they could, the baby finally came into the world crying.
When the doctor came out holding the baby and offering congratulations, Jeremy didn't even stop to ask questions. He rushed straight inside to see how Amelia was doing.
"Amelia, you worked so hard. I swear I'll treat you well for the rest of my life. I'll never let you go through this again."
Jeremy looked at her pale, exhausted face and her hair drenched in sweat. It was obvious enough that giving birth was like surviving a trial by fire.
"I'm okay..." Amelia said softly. "Really. It stopped hurting as soon as it was over... Did you see the baby?"
She truly felt reborn the moment the delivery ended. That horrible pain from earlier was gone.
And when she saw that the first person to rush in and check on her was her husband, warmth spread through her chest. In that moment, everything felt worth it.
"Oh, right. My daughter. Let me see my daughter."
Only then did Jeremy remember he had not even looked at the baby yet.
Just then, the nurse came back in with the baby after taking him outside for the huge, noisy crowd of waiting relatives to admire.
Smiling, she said, "Congratulations. Mother and baby are both healthy. It's a boy, and such a handsome one too."
This was the first time the nurse had seen a wealthy family where the husband was this anxious about his wife.
Usually, when men from prominent families had children, the first thing they asked was how the baby was doing and whether it was a boy or a girl. Very few ever rushed in first to check on their wives.
The nurse had assumed that hearing it was a boy would make Jeremy even happier.
Instead, he looked stunned.
A boy? Had the nurse made a mistake?
Amelia could not help laughing. "Mr. Curran, your sixth sense was wrong. It's a healthy son."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
