The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 186

"Your men are here," Vivica said into the phone as she stepped into the elevator, her voice softening unconsciously. "I'll go see what's happening. You should get some more sleep."

"Alright."

After hanging up, she watched the floor numbers descend, her mind once again drifting to Joseph's stern, handsome face. She had to admit, despite his sharp tongue and cold demeanor, he was incredibly reliable. When trouble arose, he didn't hesitate. His ability to take decisive action and solve problems was second to none. A man like that, even with a hint of arrogance, commanded respect.

Vivica found herself once again captivated by his charisma.

By the time she arrived at her apartment building, Fannie, the organizers, and the moving crew were still blocked at the door. Dylan had planted a chair in the doorway, with Loretta standing beside him like a sentry. The two of them looked ready to take on an army.

As the elevator doors opened, everyone turned. Fannie recognized Vivica immediately and hurried over. "Ms. Lynn."

Vivica nodded politely. "Fannie, thank you for dealing with this."

The sight of Vivica sent the Sanfords into attack mode. Loretta crossed her arms, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Well, well. After cleaning out my brother in the divorce, you've turned into quite the rich woman, haven't you? Traveling with bodyguards now."

Vivica ignored her. Wearing a back brace, she walked slowly and deliberately. She didn't want to create a public scene, so she tried to remain calm. "This house belongs to me now. As soon as your brother is released, we will transfer the deed. Your theatrics won't change that fact."

Dylan jabbed a finger at her, his voice a furious roar. "You wretched woman! You ruined my son's reputation! You'll die a miserable death! This is my son's house, and you'll take it over my dead body!"

Loretta's voice was just as shrill. "You have the nerve to show your face? You got my brother locked up again! Vivica, after all those years of marriage, how can you be so vicious?"

"Your brother caused a scene in court yesterday and assaulted my lawyer," Vivica stated calmly. "He brought this upon himself."

The bodyguards were professionals. They moved to the doorway, and with steady hands, they lifted the chair with Dylan still in it, carrying him out like he was being paraded on a sedan.

"Hey! What are you doing! Put him down!" Loretta shrieked, trying to intervene. But the men Fannie had brought with her quickly stepped in, restraining Loretta and pulling her out of the doorway as well.

"You can go in and start packing now," Vivica told the moving company crew.

The movers, dressed in their company uniforms, began to file into the apartment. But the living room was not yet clear. Riley was still there with her daughter.

Seeing that the Sanfords had failed to hold the line, Riley stood up, her eyes glaring like daggers at Vivica. She bent down and whispered something to her daughter.

Vivica had just stepped into the living room when the little girl suddenly lunged forward, grabbed her hand, and bit down—hard!
