The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 328

He recognized the logo of a menswear brand. Curiosity piqued, he walked over, bent down, and nudged the shopping bags with his hand. Inside were boxes tied with silk ribbons.

A faint smile touched the corners of his lips; he had a good idea who these were for.

Glancing toward the bathroom, Joseph figured Vivica wouldn't be out anytime soon, so he pulled out the largest box and untied the ribbon.

Just as he thought—a suit.

“She does have a conscience after all,” he mused, pleased that she’d thought to buy him clothes while she was out shopping.

Just as he was about to lift the suit out to get a better look, the bathroom door swung open and Vivica emerged.

He jumped, startled, and fumbled to put the suit back. In his haste, the lid of the box slipped from his grasp and clattered onto the floor.

Vivica turned at the sound, and their eyes met.

Seeing Joseph standing by the sofa with the clothes in his hands, she suddenly remembered the gifts she’d bought for him earlier that day. Her original plan had been to have him try them on when he got home that evening, but the whole ordeal with Raymond had driven it completely from her mind.

Joseph had only wanted a quick peek before putting everything back, planning to wait for Vivica to bring it up herself. He never expected to be caught red-handed.

Though a flash of embarrassment crossed his face, he masked it well, adopting a calm expression. “I’ve had my people looking into it overnight. We should have the details by tomorrow morning.”

“Okay,” Vivica nodded with a small smile. “Thank you. I’m always causing you trouble.”

At every critical moment, he was there for her, always providing tangible help. Her simple words of thanks came straight from the heart.

“Don’t be so formal with me. We’re family.” Joseph smiled, his gaze returning to the box in his hands. Deciding to just own it, he asked, “This is menswear. Did you buy it for me?”

“Yes.”

Vivica smiled without replying. Like a devoted attendant, she moved behind him and helped him into the jacket.

“Don’t you want to look in the mirror in the walk-in closet?” she suggested.

“No need,” Joseph said, adjusting the collar and cuffs. He turned to her. “What do you think? As long as you think it looks good, I don’t need a mirror.”

A blush she couldn’t suppress spread across Vivica’s face. It was her first time buying clothes for him, and she’d spent ages in the store agonizing over the right choice, terrified it wouldn’t fit.

But seeing it on him now, she realized her worries were for nothing. Joseph had the kind of physique that looked lean in clothes but was clearly muscular underneath. He could probably make even rags look fashionable.

And this was, after all, a premium luxury brand. How could it not look good? He was absolutely captivating!

Joseph lifted his arms slightly, waiting for her verdict. When she remained silent, he frowned. “What’s wrong? Does it not look good?”
