The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 475

"Joseph, you're way too good to me. I swear, in all my life..."

Vivica was moved beyond words.

It was true—she had barely received a single gift over the years. On the rare occasion she visited relatives, an aunt or uncle might take pity on her and slip her a small present or a few bucks. But Evelyn would always sniff it out, forcing her to hand it over the second they got home.

If they had just confiscated it, that would have been bad enough. But usually, after ripping the gift out of her hands, they'd subject her to a grueling gaslighting session. They would scream that raising her was a massive financial burden, and that hiding money at her age proved she was deceitful, greedy, and fundamentally flawed.

Brainwashed and verbally abused by the Lynn family for so long, she had actually believed their toxic behavior was normal until she finally got into college.

Thank God she had fought tooth and nail for her education. Making it to a top-tier university and surrounding herself with brilliant, well-adjusted peers had slowly deprogrammed her.

That was the only reason she had finally managed to claw her way out of the mental prison the Lynn family had built around her.

And now, she was incredibly blessed to be part of a healthy family overflowing with love and acceptance. They were a multi-generational dynasty, and she was finally witnessing firsthand how normal parents cherished their children. Even as a mother herself, she was getting to relive the pure, unadulterated joy of being a "kid" again.

After accepting the insane cash gift, Vivica stared deeply into Joseph's eyes for a long moment. A soft smile touched her lips, and out of absolutely nowhere, she asked, "How many kids do you want? Is three enough? Or we can just have as many as you want. Sound good?"

She knew wealthy families always prioritized a bustling, vibrant household with lots of heirs. With a husband this incredible, and in-laws this kind, she was more than happy to have as many babies as it took—if that was what made them happy.

After all, she just had to give birth. There would be a whole army of nannies and staff to help raise them. And with the Baird family's stellar values and resources, she never had to worry about the kids turning out spoiled or maladjusted.

Her sudden enthusiasm completely caught Joseph off guard! His handsome face morphed into a mask of pure confusion. "Vivica, what are you talking about? How many kids do you want?"

Joseph used to be adamantly anti-marriage and anti-kids. Now, not only was he married, but he also had his own biological son—and the promise of potentially two more babies in the future. He was more than satisfied with how his life had turned out.

"Most modern women aren't exactly eager to have tons of babies. This is the first time I've ever seen someone set a KPI for their own pregnancies," Joseph said, looking amazed, though a warm laugh rumbled in his chest.

"Women aren't eager to have babies because usually, their husbands are useless, their in-laws are awful, and their workplaces discriminate against them. But none of those issues exist for me. The only real concern might be my career. And even if I can't stay at Q-Cloud Technology, with my coding skills, I can easily pivot to being a freelance programmer."

During those years she was a stay-at-home mom, she had picked up freelance gigs on the side to make extra cash. She had even built a solid reputation in the industry.

And honestly, even if she never worked another day in her life, the assets she already had under her name guaranteed she'd live in luxury for the rest of her days.
