The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 483

The moment the cars stopped, Raymond and Cheryl immediately recognized the vehicle. It belonged to Sullivan, the eldest of the Chase brothers.

Seeing Sullivan roll down his window, Cheryl, sitting in the back seat, rolled hers down too.

As Sullivan spat his furious accusations, Cheryl's face darkened, completely unfazed. "Dirty? If anyone knows about dirty stunts, it's you and your youngest brother! If you weren't so despicable, you'd both still be working dead-end jobs in the middle of nowhere!"

"Don't give me that garbage! I'm asking you about the tip-off!" Sullivan's face was flushed red, the veins in his neck bulging as he glared at her with pure hatred. "Nobody else would dare cross us like this!"

Joseph was sitting in the passenger seat. Though no one had formally introduced the angry man in the other car, the context of the argument was all Joseph needed to confirm he was looking at the eldest Chase brother.

He didn't say a word. He simply raised his hand and silently rolled down his window. Then, he turned his head. His expression was dangerously calm, his eyes like shards of ice.

Sullivan, sensing an overwhelming, lethal aura from the passenger side, shifted his gaze to Joseph. The moment their eyes met, Sullivan froze. Pure panic flashed in his eyes.

That was exactly the reaction Joseph was looking for. He needed to know if Sullivan recognized him.

And Sullivan's undisguised terror proved that he absolutely did. It meant Sullivan was the one who had orchestrated the honey trap at the club, trying to drag Joseph down in a scandal so he'd be too busy saving himself to protect Vivica.

"Mr. Chase. The person who reported you was me," Joseph said, his voice cutting through the tension as he effortlessly drew Sullivan's fire.

"You?" Sullivan's eye twitched. He quickly tried to mask his panic with false bravado. "Who the hell are you? Why would you report me? Did I do something to you?"

"Mr. Baird, Sullivan definitely recognized you. The color completely drained from his face the second he saw you," Cheryl said from the back seat, her voice full of absolute certainty.

She hadn't missed Sullivan's reaction either. Their suspicions were spot on. Whether it was Vivica's accident or Joseph's near-setup at the club, Sullivan was undoubtedly the mastermind. His motive was glaringly obvious: stop Vivica from reuniting with Hillary and Hayes, ensuring their massive fortune had no direct heir.

"I know," Joseph replied evenly. "Once the police opened their investigation, they tracked the IP addresses of the burner phones straight to Sydville."

"Mr. Baird, I'm going to hire private security for your hotel today, just to be safe."

Raymond was deeply worried. Now that Joseph and Vivica were actually in Sydville, there was a very real chance the desperate Chase brothers might try to orchestrate another "accident."
