The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 88

Vivica sat on a nearby armchair, a wave of warmth washing over her as she watched the heartwarming scene. She took out her phone and quietly recorded a ten-second video to send to Quintina.

Quintina replied with a tease: [Wow, looks like my sweetheart has struck it rich.]

Vivica rolled her eyes.

[Do the old folks know he’s their biological grandson?] Quintina asked.

Vivica replied: [No. Mr. Baird said the time isn’t right, so we’re holding off on telling them.]

Quintina wrote: [Legally and ethically speaking, it’s probably for the best that they don’t know it.]

The door to the room suddenly pushed open, and Joseph walked in. He had changed out of his tennis attire and was now wearing a perfectly tailored, dark gray suit that accentuated his tall, athletic build. His handsome features were framed by a cool, noble air, and his entire presence was captivating.

Vivica’s heart skipped a beat. She put down her phone and stood up. “Mr. Baird.”

Joseph gave a slight nod in greeting, his gaze shifting to his parents and Chaim.

Chaim looked over his shoulder. “Uncle! Look! Grandpa and I built this model airplane. Once we put in the batteries, it can fly!”

Joseph walked over, a smile touching his lips as he saw the boy’s happy face. “Very impressive,” he praised.

“This boy is so clever,” Sheridan said. “I only gave him a little guidance, and he figured it out. He built almost all of it himself.”

Joseph smiled but said nothing. Of course, his son was clever.

Melanie glanced over at Vivica, then whispered to her son, “Vivica looks bored sitting over there by herself. Go talk to her.”

Joseph nodded. “Alright.”

“I have a few recorded phone calls that prove his inappropriate relationship with Riley.”

“Good. Send them to me later. Also, do you have any proof that he transferred marital assets?”

Vivica shook her head. “No. He brought up the divorce so suddenly, and before that, I trusted him completely.”

“Alright. Gathering that evidence won’t be difficult. I’ll file a motion with the court to obtain a warrant to subpoena his bank records. I can also look into his company stocks and options with the regulatory authorities.”

When it came to his work, Joseph’s every word exuded a confident control over the situation. Vivica looked at him, once again filled with a profound sense of admiration. He had his own law firm at such a young age, carving out a name for himself in the legal world with his sharp skills and decisive actions. A man like that had an incredible charisma.

“Okay, thank you, Mr. Baird,” Vivica said, feeling a thrill of excitement.

“Also, there’s one more thing…” Joseph frowned, pondering for a moment before continuing. “I suggest you change the child’s last name. Have him take your surname.”
