Chapter 210

Chapter 210

NARRATOR

“She’s watching us… She’s sad. I can feel it.” Soul’s words weren’t helping Vhaelor at all.

Of course he could feel the weight of his mate’s stare, and every muscle in his neck screamed at him to turn around and meet those green eyes.

But he didn’t. Instead, he kept putting more distance between them.

And now he was about to take the next step, the one that would lead him to betray her.

While Isidora toyed with that Estingia in the arena like a cat with a mouse, someone quietly approached Blaze.

“Come with me, slave. Someone important wants to see you,” the warrior beside him whispered through clenched teeth Not expecting him to resist, she moved away through the stands amid the spectators’ excited roars.

Blaze looked toward the arena one last time. Isidora’s fury was barely being contained by the shield surrounding the platform.

With a defeated growl, he finally pushed himself up from the crumbling stones he’d been sitting on.

He followed the path the woman had shown him through one of the tunnels leading off from the arena.

In the shadows, he immediately recognized the woman he’d known would contact him.

The Matriarch.

The master manipulator pulling everyone’s strings.

Blaze stopped several feet away from her, neither lowering his head nor showing even a hint of fear.

“You’re a very interesting slave,” she said, fixing him with a piercing stare.

She probed him, searching for his wolf, but found nothing.

In the end, no matter how brave and strong he seemed, she assumed there had to be something wrong with him.

uld crush her wolf with a single paw.

be happy serving an Estingia who’s barely more than a novice… Let’s just say I can offer you your freedom…”

ouldn’t be free if I wanted to?” Blaze’s low, sharp voice echoed through the tunnel.

back with everything he had, forcing the power of his aura down.

ere’s no way Isidora could control you. But don’t tell me… you’ve fallen in love with that girl…”

cking smile tugged at the beautiful woman’s cruel lips.

Chapter 210

Blaze wanted nothing from her, and contrary to what Helen believed, she was the one being used

“I want a steady job in the capital, my slave status revoked, and money..

Bluze was disgusted with himself as he threw out the first price that came to mind.

But it was the kind of thing any poor bastard would consider a stroke of luck.

To him, every syllable felt like a dagger to the chest

Helen’s smile widened even more. Everyone had a price.

“Fine. But you can’t fail at what I’m about to tell you to do. And if you betray me…”

A shadow spread from her body and darkened the tunnel walls, its black claws nearly closing around the Lycan King.

“Pathetic she-wolf,” Soul snorted angrily.

“If you keep your word… I’ll keep mine. What do I have to do?”

Blaze didn’t so much as flinch, and Helen looked at him with even greater interest.

If she weren’t too busy to waste time fucking a slave another Estingia had already pawed all over, she would’ve found this male very interesting.

Now she understood why Marion had fallen for him.

“The next time Lady Marion corners you… you’re going to make her think you’re interested in her…”

Blaze listened to her orders and had no trouble figuring out that harpy’s twisted intentions.

She wanted control over Isidora and her business.

But this went much deeper. The Matriarch’s true rival wasn’t Isidora. It was Legna.

The only woman capable of challenging her position and truly becoming the Matriarch when the Supreme Elder died.

She wanted to turn Isidora into the spear she’d use to wound Legna, making the betrayal come from someone close to her.

“You’ll use my mate like that over my dead body.” Blaze stared at her, his murderous intent hidden deep in his eyes.

He only needed this harpy to help Isidora win the competition, so she would have a perfectly natural reason to go to his castle in the capital.

Once there, he’d be in control.

He could stage his final disappearance and leave his mate provided for and protected for the rest of her life.

Meanwhile, back in the arena….

Isidora rained furious slaps down on the opponent pinned beneath her.

Blood smeared the girl’s face, and she was nearly choking as more welled up in her throat.

The beating and bruises had left her face unrecognizable.

“This will teach you to respect other people’s dignity!” Isidora roared, raising one hand, each claw as hard as steel.

Chapter 210

She hadn’t even needed to draw her sword.

The woman’s tear-filled eyes begged for mercy.

She tried to shout that she was giving up, but a second later, the redhead clamped her free hand tightly over her mouth.

“Remember how I begged you for mercy when you beat me?”

Isidora’s venomous whisper struck the woman as she leaned closer.

Her clawed hand began to come down, wrapped in a deadly aura that made the woman tremble.

Isidora had no intention of killing her.

She only meant to teach her a lesson she’d never forget, but the girl was already convinced she was going to die.

But at the last second, something happened that changed her luck.

Isidora’s lupine eyes darted to one side, beyond the arena, and her attention slipped for barely a moment.

Blaze… Where was Blaze?

Then she spotted him off in a secluded area, talking to a warrior.

It looked far too secretive. Was she one of Marion’s servants?

Was he conspiring to betray her?

Thousands of thoughts raced through Isidora’s mind in a single instant, and that distraction was her fatal mistake.

Suddenly, a burst of pain in her stomach snapped her back into the fight.

“Aaghh…!”

She looked down as blood spurted from her mouth and saw the Estingia’s clawed fingers almost completely buried in her

stomach.

A scorching aura gathered between those claws, thick with murderous intent.

“Die, you crazy bitch!”

The Light Estingia screamed as she unleashed every last bit of power she had left.

One final, desperate blow.

But at such close range, it would be fatal for Isidora.

The heat became unbearable as it tore through every layer of her body and exploded inside her like a supernova.

A deadly light engulfed her completely, tearing her apart from the inside out.

“ISIDORA!”

She heard a roar just before she disappeared…
