Meanwhile, over in the Nine–Tailed Fox Clan, Lexie was holding the storage space Gary had handed her before he left.
She opened it up. Inside were piles of jewelry, but what really caught her attention were some mysterious seeds.
She stared at the seeds sealed inside their containers, and then scanned them with her Optic Brain. Turned out, every single one was a rare species.
She had no idea what the elder who had gifted her these seeds was planning. But knowing how precious they were, she didn’t dare waste a single one. She carefully put the seeds back in the memory chip.
Those seeds really piqued her curiosity about the memory chip. Since she had nothing else to do, she just stayed in her room, rummaging through everything inside.
The memory chip was packed with all sorts of stuff, gorgeous, priceless gems as well as random twigs and weirdly shaped rocks that didn’t seem worth much.
But what truly surprised her was an enormous feather hidden away in the storage space. ‘Where did this even come from?” she wondered, her curiosity growing.
The feather was dazzling and iridescent. Its colors totally popped even in the dark storage space, and it was impossible to
miss.
Lexie reached out and grabbed it. The thing looked massive, but in her hand, it felt like it weighed nothing at all.
She absentmindedly waved the feather. In the next instant, she blinked in surprise as something completely unexpected happened.
Wherever the feather swept, a brilliant streak of light flashed by. As the colors faded, a young female appeared out of thin air.
She looked a lot like Lexie, but she carried herself with a lot more pride and confidence.
inside the virtual space, the girl clutched the feather, mumbling to a seed in her hand.
She just squatted there, silent and patient, hoping the seed would do something. But nothing happened, no matter how long she waited, even when her legs went numb.
Lexie kept watching. After a while, she started to get a little impatient.
She looked at the feather in her hand and gave it another casual wave through the air. Instantly, a whole new scene unfolded before her eyes.
It was still the same girl who looked so much like her, but now her features had grown more refined, and she seemed steadier than moments ago
This time, she waved the feather over the seed again. But unlike before, something was different, and the seed in her palm began to react.
To Lexie’s amazement, that plain little seed actually started to sprout right there in her hand.
The moment that seed sprouted, the girl leaped for joy. As she spun around, Lexie finally saw the face of the beastman who’d always been by the girl’s side.
He was the very beastman Lexie had dreamed about just a while back.

In that virtual space, the beastman scooped the girl up into a tight embrace, his face overflowing with adoration as he held her close.
Lexie kept waving the feather again and again. Every single time, that girl who looked just like her would show up in the void.
She was always squatting there, waving the feather. With each wave, the changes in the seed grew bigger and more dramatic
Until finally, with one last sweep of the feather, the seed in her hand shot up and grew into a massive, towering tree right before Lexie’s eyes.
As the seed kept changing, the beastman by her side kept transforming with every new scene.
Not only did the beastman guarding her keep changing, but the girl’s aura was constantly shifting as well.
She started out proud and confident. Little by little, her demeanor grew gentle and graceful.
Compared to the proud, confident girl Lexie first saw, she had changed so much, and it was like she’d become someone entirely new.
When Lexie waved the feather one last time, the girl in the void appeared with a ghostly pale face.
This time, she wasn’t crouched down waving the feather. Instead, she stared straight at Lexie, as if she was trying to lock eyes with Lexie across the void.
That soft but determined gaze made Lexie freeze, unable to look away.
“My child, if you’re seeing me like this, it means I’m already gone. Let me introduce myself. I’m Eliva, the breeding female of the Light Beast Clan.
“In my lifetime, I had twelve mates. Some I loved with all my heart, and some I ended up with because life had other plans for me.
“But I consider myself lucky. My journey was full of setbacks, but in the end, things always turned out well for me.
“My child, you must notice how pale I look right now, don’t you?
“That’s because I’ve been infected with the Clyssia Virus, and my time is running out.
“Even as the breeding female of the Light Beast Clan, I still couldn’t resist the Clyssia Virus.
“I’m dying. No matter how hard I try to hold on, I don’t have even a year left.”
“I’m not scared of dying.” Eliva continued, “but I can’t just disappear quietly. If I go without a word, the Light Beast Clan will be lost forever, and no one will be left to carry on our bloodline.”
“Once the last of our Light beastmen grow old and die, there won’t be a single Light Beast left in this world
“For the sake of our clan’s future, and for my mates, I used gene technology to combine the genes of my twelve partners and make sure you could be born.
