With that thought, Lexie’s fingers traced the black mark on her palm. The next moment, a hazy image appeared before her

eyes.

When her vision cleared, the raging blizzard outside made it obvious that she was smack in the middle of the Snow Wolf Clan’s territory.

This place was all too familiar, and unbearably cold.

Without thinking, she grabbed a thick coat from her storage space and threw it on, and then pulled out a pair of heavy boots for herself. Only then did she start to thaw out a little.

But before Lexie could even catch her breath, shouts from behind made her instinctively turn around.

As she turned, she saw two beastmen, eyes widened with terror, running toward her in a blind panic.

And right behind them, a horde of ugly Bloodthirsty Beasts was charging at her like a swarm of locusts.

‘Run!” one of the beastmen shouted.

When they reached Lexie, they instinctively tried to drag her away with them.

But Dory and Ares, who’d been sticking close to Lexie, quickly got in the way and blocked them.

With the Bloodthirsty Beasts about to lunge at her, Lexie threw up a shield around herself, Ares, and Dory. Then she looked hopefully at the flower bracelet wrapped around her wrist.,

‘Hey, flowers! Want to turn these Bloodthirsty Beasts into a tasty snack for yourselves?” she said to the flowers.

Just stick to the Bloodthirsty Beasts, okay? No feeding on any other beastmen!”

As soon as Lexie finished it, the flower bracelet slipped right off her wrist. It started spreading and growing. In no time, a massive field of flowers exploded across the snowy ground.

When those flowers collided with the oncoming Bloodthirsty Beasts, their beauty twisted into something monstrous, like demons hungry for beast flesh.

They fed on the Bloodthirsty Beasts, and the bleak snow was instantly transformed into a vibrant, dazzling sea of blossoms.

In the endless snowstorm, those flower fields were stunningly beautiful.

Watching this, Lexie finally felt her nerves settle a bit.

Thank goodness! Lexie thought. “These flowers really can wipe out those nasty Bloodthirsty Beasts. Maybe now I can actually help the High Priest and Kaelen get rid of these pests once and for all‘

Just as Lexie was starting to relax, the two beastmen who’d run off earlier came running back.

When they reached her and finally got a good look at her face, they both gasped in shock,

“You’re… Lex!” one of them blurted out.

“Oh my god! It really is Lex!” the other exclaimed.

When they finally saw Lexie’s face clearly, they froze in shock,

That just made their chubby faces look cuter.

“Are you really Lex?” one of them was barely able to believe it.

Lexie nodded, still fussing with her cold–weather gear as she admitted it.

‘I’m Lex, just like you said. But this is the Snow Wolf Clan’s turf. Trust me, they really don’t like outsiders showing up here.”

You two just waltzed right in, and see what happened? Now you’re getting chased all over by Bloodthirsty Beasts.”

Hearing that, the two beastmen looked a little sheepish and quickly explained.

‘Lex, we didn’t mean to crash the Snow Wolf Clan’s territory. We came along with Marshal Drake’s main force,” one of them aid.

Marshal Drake? He’s here too?” Lexie exclaimed.

Her eyes lit up instantly when she heard Austin was around.

That’s right. We came with Marshal Drake. But it’s not just us. Prince Nelson from the Aetherion Federation is here too.

Besides, a ton of reclusive clans showed up. Like the Nine–Tailed Fox Clan, the Merfolk, the Gray Bear Clan, and a bunch of

others.

We’re all here today to wipe out the Bloodthirsty Beasts. Lex, these things are hermaphrodites, and they can breed at a idiculous speed.

They even eat their own kind, and somehow managed to burst out from under the thick ice. There are just way too many of hem. Even with all of us and those twelve ancient elders, we still can’t take them on.

Just our team alone, we started with two hundred people. Now, after all the fighting, there are just the two of us left standing.

‘Everyone else… they were all killed by the Bloodthirsty Beasts.

‘Lex, it’s not safe here at all! You need to get out and go find a safe spot to lay low.

‘If we lose our hold here and those Bloodthirsty Beasts escape to the outside, the whole Aetherion Interstellar Zone will be in total chaos.”

As the two beastmen spoke, Lexie could clearly hear the explosions and the rumble of avalanches over the howling wind and snow.

‘So, according to these two, Austin, Nelson, Kaelen, and Gary, all those people who said they were off on some mission, are actually here in the Snow Wolf Clan’s territory, all gathered for this?‘ Lexie thought, her mind racing.

‘And their whole mission is just to wipe out these Bloodthirsty Beasts?‘

‘But when I left, weren’t there just a couple of Bloodthirsty Beasts crawling out from under the ice?‘ she wondered, her thoughts spinning.

‘How did it go from just a few to a whole damn flood pouring out from under all that thick ice in barely a day? she thought. totally baffled.

Lexie glanced at the two beastmen, looking totally beat up in front of her, and remembered what they’d just said. Their team of two hundred was now down to just the two of them.
