“Son, are you certain this is what you wish to do?” King Geo asks Prince Kai with a pat on his shoulder. Prince Kai turns to his

father with a confident look on his face.

“Yes father. She will serve me well before I decide to do away with her.” King Geo nods. He doesn’t even spare me a glance as he takes his necklace and turns to the rest of the crowd.

“Alright then. We’re done here. Aloha Rafa, of course you’re expected to pay a large sum for damages and making us travel here.You have a week to come up with a million dollars, then we can fully put this behind us. Well, see you all!”

My father’s face pales instantly when the king mentions the amount of money. He glares at me with a look that promises pain. Oh Goddess, I’ll be punished even more for this.

Now I’m thinking it might not be so bad to become a slave for the Lycan Prince, It’s not like I wasn’t already a slave in my own pack

anyway, right?

The king, the princess and the rest of the group begin to walk out of the hall. Our pack members also hurry out of the hall, murmuring and gossiping about me, Only Prince Kai stays behind. He stands in front of me, staring down at me like he doesn’t know what to do with me. Why the hell wouldn’t he just kill me?? I’m sure a man like this can get all the slaves he wants in the world, so why does he want me as his slave?

He stares at me with that sly smile on his impeccably handsome face. I have the sudden urge to punch his jaw.

“Your Highness,” my so–called mother, Luna Sarah, approaches him. “I… I really don’t think you should consider taking my daughter as your slave. Lyra is quite unrepentant when it comes to misbehaving. She may put your life in danger or even attack you, why don’t you leave her to us? We will make sure to punish her properly but keep her somewhere safe, away from prying eyes.”

“Yes, your highness.” Alpha Rafa agrees, still holding his bloodied neck that’s probably taking time to heal because of how deep the

cut was.

“Jack!” Sarah calls to my sibling who’s standing close to Daisy behind me. “Take your sister to the shallows. A week there will definitely make her see the error of her ways.”

Jackson looks like he wants to argue but thinks better of it. He’s not as wicked as his sister, but he has never taken it upon himself to try and stick up for me, so I just assume he’s like the rest of them.

He takes a step toward me, ready to obey my father but the heated look that Prince Kai sends him makes him freeze immediately.

“For someone who’s your daughter,” Prince Kai smirks at my mother. “You sure do sound like you hate her a lot. Anything I should know about the dynamics of your relationship?”

so flustered. “…I just don’t want her to cause problems for you. I love Lyra very much but she’s quite troublesome, your highness.”

“Well, leave that trouble to me. I want to experience it first–hand.” ThePrince replies, looking at me with a heated gaze, his eyes twinkling with curiosity and mischief.

Okay, this Lycan Prince is officially a weird man.

“From now on, Lyra Diamond belongs to me and me alone. She leaves with me immediately and will stay with me and be my slove where I currently live, at the Krypton Wolf Academy.” He announces to my family. They all look at him as if they want to disagree with his choice but they dare not try it. I almost feel like laughing at the irony of it all.

I’m exchanging one prison for another kind of prison.
