"Selena, stop talking. After all, she is our second sister." the quiet girl beside her whispered, tugging gently at Selena's sleeve.

Her elegant face was etched with worry. But her intervention only fueled Selena's rage.

She used to call Selena her second sister, but she adapted quickly—now she was calling her Selena her third sister! And worse, there was now another person pressing down on Selena's status in the house, a wretched girl from the countryside!

For someone as fiercely competitive as Selena, this was intolerable.

"Selena!" Lady Beaumont shot her a warning glare. Alistair had just ordered them not to mention Lady Marquis. Why was she still bringing it up?

"I won't say it outside! But there are no outsiders here, except her!"

Selena pointed a rigid finger right at Lucia.

Lucia looked at the accusing finger, then at the faint, grey aura hovering over Selena's face. She offered a slight smile.

"You keep insisting I'm from the country and lack manners. Yet here you are, pointing your finger at your elder sister. What kind of breeding is that?"

This statement made Alistair's face turn ugly.

"Lucia, Aurelia is older than you. She is the eldest sister."

A flicker of confusion crossed Lucia's eyes. Actually, she and Aurelia were both sixteen this year. Digging through her memories, her birthday was in the middle of summer, while Aurelia was born half a month later.

She was older than Aurelia.

Yet they were absolutely determined to steal the title of the legitimate eldest daughter for Aurelia.

There was definitely something suspicious going on.

"Is she?" Lucia threw a sideways glance at Aurelia. She would definitely expose this truth later. She pointed back at Selena. "Regardless, is this the pristine etiquette of the Royal Capital?"

Lucia sneered, shooting a mocking look directly at Lady Beaumont.

The disdain in her eyes was unmistakable. Lady Beaumont was practically vibrating with rage.
