She did not hold back, consuming two bowls of the broth and two plates of pastries before giving the rest to Celia and Bonnie.

He also added that if she had any more of such quality, she should bring them to him for a handsome sum.

"Fifty silver marks? Not bad." Lucia nodded.

"The silver box also fetched a mark, and the gold earrings brought twenty," Bonnie said. "My Lady, I bought pastries from The Gilded Spoon Patisserie for one mark, so there are exactly seventy silver marks left."

Lucia had originally been penniless. To think a brief stroll around the courtyard had earned her a small fortune.

Celia and Bonnie both found the situation thrilling.

Thinking of her meager cloth bundle, Lucia let out a soft sigh.

The gown she wore had likely been made for Aurelia Beaumont. It was slightly too loose on her, feeling cumbersome as she moved.
