After hanging up, Sarah lay in bed for a while.
She tossed and turned before finally grabbing a box of medicine from the nightstand.
It was for stomach pain.
She had just ordered it via delivery.
Except, the medication wasn't for her. It was for...
After a long internal debate, Sarah put on her jacket and walked to the room next door.
Julian and his assistant, Ethan, were staying there.
Sarah knocked on the door.
Ethan answered.
"Sarah, it's pretty late. Is something wrong?"
Sarah clenched her hand around the box of pills.
"Mr. Vance's stomach was bothering him earlier, right? I happened to have some medicine."
Ethan turned over his shoulder. "Boss, Sarah brought you some meds."
Julian's deep, magnetic voice carried from inside.
"Come in."
Sarah walked in to find Julian still sitting at the desk, buried in work.
The dense lines of code on his laptop screen made her dizzy just looking at them.
Her heart fluttered.
He was already so successful; he could easily just coast through life, yet he worked harder than anyone.
Compared to the rich heirs who only cared about partying, he was in a completely different league.
A man with this much drive and perfection—how could she not fall for him?
Julian stood up and walked over.
"I'm feeling much better, but thank you."
Normally loud and brash, Sarah suddenly found herself feeling incredibly shy.
"I'm glad you're better. I'll head back now."
Before coming over, she had planned to act like her usual self, casually throwing out a few friendly words of concern.
But now that she was actually here, she couldn't formulate a single sentence.
"Sarah."
Julian suddenly called out.
She stopped and turned around.
"Yes, Mr. Vance?"
Julian gestured to the sofa.
