"Please get out."

Audrey stood her ground. "I just want to know if Jocelyn is pregnant!"

Without another word, the doctor picked up the desk phone and dialed security.

"I need some assistance in here. There's a woman causing a disturbance in my office and disrupting my appointments."

Moments later, two security guards walked in.

They grabbed Audrey by the arms and escorted her out.

This was likely the first time the privileged heiress had suffered such utter humiliation, and tears of sheer frustration welled in her eyes.

Audrey immediately pulled out her phone and called Caleb.

The moment the call connected, she burst into uncontrollable sobs, overwhelmed by a suffocating wave of grievance.

"Did Adrian do something to upset you?"

"Dad, I think that woman is pregnant."

"Jocelyn?"

"Who else?" Audrey said, her voice trembling. "I just saw her going into the obstetrics and gynecology department. When I went in to ask the doctor about it, she kicked me out."

"Dad, I'm absolutely certain that woman is pregnant, and she's in cahoots with the doctors to hide it from me."

Caleb offered soothing words.

"Don't panic just yet. It might not be what you think. I'll have someone look into it and find out the truth."

Audrey remained deeply anxious.

"Dad, what are we going to do if she really is pregnant? If Adrian finds out, they'll be even more entangled. Will we still be able to get married?"

Caleb's expression turned somber and ruthless. "Even if she is pregnant, Adrian knows what's at stake. He's a man driven by ambition and profit. He will marry you, whether he wants to or not."

Audrey recalled Claire's earlier taunts, and a knot of dread tightened in her stomach.

"But even if we get married, what difference does it make? He barely has room in his heart for me as it is. If that woman is pregnant, I'll lose whatever hold I have left on him."
