There were only two of them in the private booth.
Yet Caleb nervously glanced around the room.
After several seconds of pure shock, he stammered, "What kind of nonsense are you talking about?"
Jocelyn casually righted the fallen teacup and picked up a napkin, slowly wiping away the spilled water.
She looked delicate, but her presence commanded the entire room.
"I forgot to properly introduce myself, Mr. Preston."
Jocelyn's lips curved into a mocking smile. "I graduated from Northwood University's computer science program. When that notorious child exploitation network was taken down a few years ago, that was my doing."
Caleb stared at her in stunned silence.
He didn't know much about computers, but he knew about that website. He had been a regular visitor himself.
The site had hosted countless explicit, uncensored videos of minors.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a master hacker had completely dismantled the network, sending the shadow owners to prison.
The hacker's identity had remained a total mystery.
Was it really this woman?
Caleb couldn't believe it.
But that wasn't the point. "What are you trying to say?" he demanded.
Jocelyn's tone remained perfectly even. "I'm saying that if I could dismantle that network so effortlessly, how hard do you think it would be to hack into your personal computer?"
Caleb guessed where she was going with this, and a jolt of panic hit his chest. He forced himself to look unaffected.
"Stop bluffing. If you were really that capable, why would you suffer in silence by Adrian's side for three years?"
