The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 396

"They're for an elder, my godmother actually. It's her birthday today."

Lana thought about it seriously for a moment.

"How about pink tulips mixed with light pink carnations, accented with a few moth orchids?"

She spoke with effortless confidence, looking entirely professional.

"Carnations represent good wishes and gratitude. Pink tulips symbolize affection and happiness. As for the moth orchids..."

"What do the moth orchids mean?" Jocelyn asked.

Lana gave a gentle smile.

"The arrival of happiness."

Happiness...

A subtle smile graced Jocelyn's lips.

"I hope you're right."

Towards the back of the shop, there was a small lounge area set up with a round table and chairs for customers to relax while they waited.

The shop was located in a busy commercial district. The ambiance was great, and the foot traffic was solid.

It seemed Adrian had actually put some thought into this place.

It was just a shame that his "thoughtfulness" was so easily distributed to whoever caught his eye at the moment.

"Arranging the bouquet will take a little while. You can have a seat over there. Let me make you some tea."

"Don't worry about the tea. I'll just sit and wait."

"Alright."

After that, the two women lapsed into silence.

Watching Lana move around the shop with quiet grace, Jocelyn felt a strange sense of surrealness.

She was genuinely surprised by how calmly she was interacting with this woman.

After all, this was the woman who had happily played the role of the other woman in her marriage.

Yet, she couldn't muster an ounce of hatred for her.

A bit later, the shop's phone rang. Lana paused her work and stepped outside to take it.

When she walked back in, her eyes immediately locked with Jocelyn's.

Lana's smile looked somewhat forced.

Bored from sitting, Jocelyn walked over to the counter and watched her deftly trim the stems.

"Did you take classes for this?"

Lana nodded.
