Jocelyn arrived right on time.
Inside the private room, besides Julian, was Ethan.
When Ethan saw Jocelyn, he stood up proactively.
"Hello, Miss Evans. I'm Mr. Vance's assistant, Ethan."
Jocelyn nodded with a smile. "Hello."
Julian, wearing a warm white sweater, sat serenely at the tea table. His handsome features were calm and composed, like a noble gentleman detached from the mortal world.
For some reason, every time Jocelyn saw him, she felt a sense of reassurance.
He was the picture of refined elegance—sharp, composed, and possessed of a quiet strength that felt almost otherworldly.
Without any preamble, Ethan produced the contract.
His working style was quite similar to Julian's.
Decisive and efficient, without any unnecessary fuss.
"Miss Evans, here is the contract. Please take a look."
Jocelyn took a pen from her bag. "No need to look."
She didn't hesitate, scrawling her signature across the bottom line with practiced ease.
Ethan was taken aback. "Miss Evans, this is not a small contract. Aren't you going to look at it?"
Jocelyn smiled faintly and said casually, "Mr. Vance already transferred the full payment to me in advance. How could I not trust you?"
Ethan didn't seem to understand.
"What do you mean?"
Jocelyn looked at Julian. "Did I say something wrong?"
Julian smiled calmly. "Ethan is one of us. It's fine."
Only then did Jocelyn feel at ease.
Ethan sounded rather aggrieved. "Sir, are you hiding something from me?"
"Have some tea," Julian said.
"Oh."
Julian pushed a file towards her.
The content touched upon her own field and interests, and Jocelyn became completely engrossed, forgetting that there were two other people sitting across from her.
Watching the woman so absorbed in the documents, Ethan couldn't help but stare for a moment.
The scene before him was like a painting.
A graceful and beautiful woman, lost in her own world, focused and serene, as if nothing in the outside world could disturb her.
Ethan finally realized that this woman, nominally Mrs. Lowell, was in fact a figure of profound depth.
She had single-handedly developed such an incredible pixel-level game.
This was not something an ordinary person could do.
Ethan subconsciously glanced at Julian.
He saw him sipping his tea elegantly, his gaze occasionally landing on Jocelyn, a faint smile playing on his lips.
It was a look of such warmth and gentleness that Ethan had never seen before.
Even when he was with his fiancée, he had never seen such tenderness and tranquility on Julian's face.
Ethan wanted to say something, and whispered softly, "Sir..."
