The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 95

Three days later, news spread throughout the industry.

Momentum AI's key technical staff had resigned consecutively within three days and had quickly joined the little-known Vanguard Tech.

This baffled many.

No one could understand why these tech geniuses would jump from a publicly traded company to a startup that had just launched in the city.

Adrian had essentially lost his right and left hands.

The new model was currently in development, and the loss of key personnel had brought the research to a grinding halt.

At that moment, Jocelyn was at home, curled up on the couch as she talked to Julian.

Jocelyn said, "After this, I'm afraid Adrian Lowell will see you as his mortal enemy."

"What he thinks of me doesn't matter," Julian replied.

Jocelyn chuckled. "True enough."

"I found the person you were looking for," Julian said.

Jocelyn paused. "You found her?"

"Yes."

"Where is she? I'll go right now."

"Should I come pick you up?"

"Okay."

Julian also lived at The Astoria, and their buildings were only a few hundred meters apart.

So Julian arrived quickly.

Jocelyn opened her window and saw his car parked downstairs.

Not wanting to keep him waiting, Jocelyn threw on a coat, grabbed her bag, and rushed out.

As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, a cold gust of wind hit her, and she couldn't help but shiver.

Thankfully, the heat in Julian's car was on full blast.

Julian glanced at Jocelyn's coat.

"Winter's almost here. It's getting cold. You should dress more warmly."

"I saw your car downstairs and rushed down," Jocelyn explained. "But it's fine. It's not cold in the car."

"I can wait for you. You don't need to rush."

Something in her chest softened.

As she got to know him, every aspect of this man seemed flawless.

His words, his actions, his sense of propriety.

In his interactions with her, he maintained a perfect balance.

He didn't ask what he shouldn't, nor did he say what he shouldn't.

This made Jocelyn feel incredibly comfortable around him.

Then the scene shifted.

A strange woman appeared in her dream.

The woman was walking down the street, looking hurried and lost, muttering something as if searching for someone.

But Jocelyn could never see her face clearly.

She tried to get closer.

But the closer she got, the farther the woman moved away.

It was as if there was something between them, and she could never reach her.

A soft voice called her name.

She couldn't tell if it was in the dream or in reality.

When Jocelyn opened her eyes, she realized it was Julian calling her.

She had slept the entire way...

Jocelyn smiled sheepishly.

"I didn't realize I was so tired."

"Pregnant women tend to get tired easily," Julian said.

Jocelyn chuckled. "Did you read that online again?"

"Yes," he admitted freely. "I've been doing some research."
