Chapter 92-2
Dad leans forward, hts dark eyes fixing on the screen. “What are we looking at, Zara?”

“Knox’s primary manufacturing site,” I state clearly, my voice ringing out with absolute confidence. “We spent the morning isolating the regional utility grid and matching it against satellite heat indexing. The old chemical processing plant off Route 9 isn’t abandoned, no matter how it looks from the outside. Knox has a full-scale fentanyl lab running inside those walls right now.”
The room goes dead silent.
Mayhem steps closer to the monitor, leaning his hands flat on the oak table as he squints at the thermal readouts. “A full lab? Not just a distribution hub?”
“Full production,” Locke interjects, pointing a finger toward the blue-and-red heat blooms on the northern wing of the building. “Those are industrial HVAC units running high-capacity filtration. You don’t need that kind of ventilation unless you’re handling raw chemical powders in bulk. He’s running pill presses in the main warehouse space.”
Jade tilts her head, her green eyes flashing with a dangerous, razor-sharp light. “How long has that site been active?”
“At least three months,” I answer, pulling up the timeline data. “He’s operating twenty-four hours a day, running raw materials in under the cover of night and shipping finished product out before dawn.”
I look at Dad, hesitating to tell him the last thing.
“The late-night freight runs match your legit transport schedules, down to the minute. So we were right: he’s piggybacking on your shipping channels.”
Dad slowly places both hands flat on the oak table, pushing himself up from his chair. The heavy leather of his vest creaks in the quiet room. He stares at the coordinates on the screen, his chest heaving with a slow, heavy breath as he absorbs the reality of what we’re looking at.
“Route 9,” Dad rasps, his deep voice carrying a terrifyingly low frequency that makes the quiet in the room press heavy against my ears. “Right on our doorstep.”
“We’ve been chasing ghosts for months while he’s pumping poison under our patch. He built his primary engine in our own backyard,” Mayhem growls, his fists clenching so hard his knuckles turn stark white.” Unbe-fucking-lievable.”
Jade lets out a harsh, bitter laugh, shaking her head. “The audacity of that bastard never ceases to amaze me. He really thought he could operate a death factory right under the Skulls’ noses?”
“He did,” Locke says grimly. “Because until two hours ago, he was getting away with it.”
Dad walks around the head of the table, his heavy boots echoing loudly against the floorboards. He stops right beside my chair, looking down at the screen before reaching down to place a large, calloused hand on my shoulder. The fierce, protective warmth in his grip is overwhelming.
“Good work, sweetheart,” Dad murmurs softly to me. Then he turns his gaze to Locke and Mayhem, and the tenderness in his expression vanishes entirely, replaced by the cold, unyielding iron of the President of

the Grinning Skulls MC.
“We aren’t letting that place stand,” Dad says, his voice flat, hard, and absolute. “Every minute that lab operates is a threat to this club, this town, and this family. We burn it down.”

Mayhem straightens up instantly, a dark, vicious grin touching the corner of his mouth. “I’ll call the sergeant-at-arms. We can assemble a full assault team. Twenty patched brothers, heavy weapons, three trucks. We roll in there tonight and level the whole property.”
“No,” Locke cuts in sharply, shaking his head. “No way.”
Mayhem frowns, turning his dark gaze onto Locke. “No? What the fuck do you mean, no? We have the location, Locke. We hit them hard and fast before Knox realizes we’re onto him.”
“A twenty-man convoy rolling up to Route 9 isn’t a surprise attack, Mayhem, it’s a fucking parade,” Locke counters smoothly, his voice calm and tactical against my brother’s rising heat. “Knox isn’t stupid.”
