The MC President's Forsaken Wife (Zara and Knox) novel Chapter 168

Chapter 92-3

“No, just a prick,” Mayhem says.

Claim

“Look, man,” Locke continues patiently. “A facility like that is going to have spotters posted on the main access roads, motion sensors along the perimeter, and heavy security on the floor. If he sees twenty bikes coming down that highway, he’ll either destroy the evidence and slip out the back, or he’ll set up an ambush and turn that access road into a kill zone.”

Jade crosses her arms, nodding in agreement. “Locke’s right. Knox is parartoid. The second he sees a squad coming, he’ll blow the place himself or put a sniper on the roof.”

Mayhem scowls, looking between Locke and Jade. “So what’s the alternative? We just sit on our hands and watch him pump out pills?”

“We recon it first,” Locke explains. “We go in small and quiet. We cut through the woods, identify the guard rotations, locate his primary chemical storage. We verify if Knox himself is on site, and set up the strike so when we do hit it, there’s zero chance of him escaping or salvaging his inventory.”

Dad listens quietly, his dark eyes fixed on the map as Locke lays out the approach. He nods once, slowly.

“Locke is right,” Dad decides, his voice leaving no room for further debate. “A full club roll-out right now is too loud. If Knox gets wind that we know where the lab is, he’ll pack up and vanish before we hit the front gate.”

Mayhem lets out a heavy breath, rubbing the back of his neck, but he nods in assent. “Fine. Who’s on the

team?”

Dad looks across the table, his eyes locking onto Mayhem, then moving to Locke.

“The three of us,” Dad says simply.

My heart drops straight into my stomach.

I turn instantly in my chair, staring up at Locke, then over at Dad. “What? Dad, no!”

Jade’s head snaps up, her crimson-painted lips parting in shock as she drops her feet to the floor with a loud clack of her heels. “Are you out of your mind, Cobra? The President, the VP, and the club accountant on a three-man recon mission into an active drug lab? That’s a terrible idea!”

“It’s the only idea,” Mayhem counters, his voice rising as he steps toward his wife. “We can’t trust this to prospects, Jade. If this intel leaks by even a whisper, Knox burns the site and moves overnight. It stays strictly with executive leadership.”

“It’s too dangerous!” I urge, my voice tightening as fear spikes sharp and cold through my chest. My strength might be returning, but the thought of Locke walking into a fortified hornet’s nest makes my lungs seize. “If Knox is guarding that plant with heavy enforcers, you’re walking directly into a death trap!”

Locke places a hand gently on the side of my neck, his thumb soothingly rubbing the line of my collarbone, but his dark eyes remain locked on the mission parameters.

“We’re not walking into a trap, baby,” he says. “We’re going to scope the perimeter, map the blind spots, and prepare the charges. We know how to move without being seen.”

Chapter 92

“Locke, please

Clair

“Zara,” Dad interrupts softly, his voice full of warmth but heavy with absolute authority as he looks at me across the table. “Knox has pushed this club to the brink. He’s brought drugs into our streets and poison into our city. He thinks he’s safe out there on Route 9, hiding behind his guards and his concrete walls.”

“But -”

“Tonight, we go out there, Dad cuts me off, his eyes burning with a fierce, unyielding fury. “We get eyes on that lab, we map every exit, and we prepare to wipe Knox’s operation off the face of the fucking earth. The decision is made.”

Jade slams her hand against the oak table, her eyes flashing with furious objection, but the men stand united around the screen.

Locke looks down at me, his grip on my neck firm, his dark gaze promising a fight I know I can’t win. The plan is set. The team is formed.

And in just a few short hours, the three men I care about most in this whole goddamn world are walking directly into the fire.
