The Messenger( Iva) novel Chapter 91

Morning Call-1

But the glow was quickly forgotten as the heat between them was everything.

It consumed them both, swallowed them whole, left nothing behind but the fire that burned between them. Caleb’s mouth moved over hers like a man starving, like she was air, and he had been drowning. His

tongue swept inside, tasting, claiming, taking.

And Iva gave it all, as she surrendered completely.

Her hands found his shoulders, his neck, fisted in his hair and pulled him closer. She needed him closer. Needed to crawl inside his skin and live there.

Caleb broke the kiss just long enough to look at her. Really look at her. His eyes were wild, the amber bleeding into something darker, something ancient.

“Tell me you’re sure,” he breathed against her lips. “Tell me this is what you want.”

“I’m sure.” Her voice shook but didn’t break. “I want you, Caleb. All of you.”

Something in him released. Something primal and powerful and long held in chains.

He kissed her again, slower this time but no less intense. His hands moved over her body like he was memorizing her, learning every curve, every dip, every place that made her gasp. His fingers traced down her side, over her hip, along the outside of her thigh.

When he touched her where she burned hottest, she cried out in shock, embarrassment and desire.

Caleb was her first kiss, her first touch…

“You’re so ready for me,” he growled against her throat. “So wet. So perfect.”

“I need you.” She arched into his hand, the head making her forget any inhibitions. “Please, Caleb. I need-”

“I know what you need.”

His fingers worked her gently at first, teasing, preparing, drawing out the pleasure until she was writhing beneath him. But the heat demanded more. The bond demanded more. And when he finally positioned himself above her, when she felt the thick heat of him pressing against her entrance, they both stopped breathing.

“Look at me,” he commanded softly.

She did.

Their eyes locked. The bond between them blazed so bright it was almost painful. And in that moment, they were not two people. They were one thing. One soul split in two, finally coming home.

He pushed inside her.

Slow. Deep. Perfect.

Iva’s back arched. A cry tore from her throat when he took her innocence in desire and pain. The sensation was overwhelming-the stretch, the fullness, the way he seemed to reach somewhere inside her she

hadn’t known existed. He filled her completely, and the bond sang with it, with the rightness of it, with the Truth of their joining.

Caleb’s forehead pressed to hers. He was shaking. His whole body trembled with the effort of holding still, of giving her time, of not losing himself completely.

“You feel-” His voice broke. “God, Iva. You feel like home.”

“Move,” she begged. “Please move. It burns so much…”

He did.

Slow at first. Long, deep strokes that made her see stars behind her closed eyes, despite her body’s initial resistance, as he was big… so big. Each thrust pushed him deeper, filled her fuller, bound them closer. The engagement bond burned hotter with every movement, every heartbeat, every shared breath.

Then the heat took over, flaring even more.

Caleb’s control frayed further. His movements grew harder, faster, more desperate. The beast inside him was no longer fighting-it was leading. But even in his wildness, he was careful with her. His hands never hurt. His grip never bruised. He took her with a passion that bordered on worship.
