The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1627

Lottie, marry me!

The fireworks lit up the night sky, painting those words for everyone to see. Charlotte’s friends and family sat close by, their faces filling with shock and wonder.

They had expected Anthony’s proposal to be out of the ordinary, but this… this was something else. Drones filled the air, thousands of them, spelling out his feelings in front of the whole city. Who else could make such a bold declaration?

“Anthony really went all out,” Robert said, turning to Patricia, Matthew, and Lavinia. He grinned, pride obvious in his voice. “You should be proud. You raised an incredible young man.”

Lavinia gave a modest smile. “You’re too generous, Robert. Anthony’s just about worthy of Charlotte, that’s all.”

Patricia chimed in, her voice soft as she watched Charlotte. “Honestly, Anthony’s the lucky one. Marrying someone as wonderful as Charlotte is a real blessing.”

“They’re both great kids,” Robert said, laughter rumbling in his chest. His eyes sparkled. “Anthony’s setting an example for my grandsons too. Maybe now they’ll learn a thing or two about how to treat a girl.”

With that, he turned and shot a look at the three tall grandsons standing nearby.

The brothers froze as soon as they met their grandfather’s gaze. He didn’t even have to say a word—one look was enough.

Donald cleared his throat. “No rush here, Grandpa.”

Roger nodded in agreement. “If Donald isn’t in a hurry, neither am I.”
