The Moment I Stepped Into His World as the Fake Girlfriend, I Became the Real Prize novel Chapter 105

Elena was the first to notice something was wrong. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the drunkard staggering to his feet, his face twisted in pure malice.

A second glance confirmed he was gripping a heavy glass bottle!

"Sterling, watch out!"

By the time Elena screamed the warning, it was almost too late.

Arthur raised the bottle high, aiming a brutal strike right at Sterling's head.

Given the angle and the force, a hit like that could easily be fatal.

In that split second, Elena thought of her daily fee of five hundred grand, and she thought of how this boy was her absolute shield.

"You kicked me? Go to hell!"

Acting on pure instinct, as the bottle came crashing down, Elena threw herself forward and threw her arm up to block it.

Hearing her scream, Sterling paused just as he was reaching out for Lydia.

He spun around, only to see the petite girl throwing herself in front of him, physically shielding him from the rabid drunk.

And she was taking the full force of the bottle with her bare hand!

Smash.

Her slender arm shuddered as the heavy glass collided with her palm with a sickening thud.

"Ah... it hurts! It hurts so much!"

Elena shook her hand frantically, her face crumpling in agony.

Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as she had feared. The man's drunken state had sapped some of his strength, making the blow less devastating than it could have been.

Even so, the pain was excruciating enough to bring genuine tears to her eyes.

"You little bitch, ruin my night? I'll kill you!"

Arthur snarled aggressively, raising the bottle to strike again.

This time, his target was Elena.

"Elena!"

Sterling's eyes darkened completely. He wrapped an arm tightly around her waist, yanking her back as his other hand snatched the bottle mid-swing.
