Sterling was confessing to Lydia right now?
Elena looked genuinely surprised. "Isn't this a little sudden?"
Catching her reaction, Leon scoffed. "What's sudden about it? It's not like this is his first time confessing to her. He can do it whenever he damn well pleases. Does he need to file a formal request with you first?"
"Listen, Ms. Larkin. The only reason he brought you to Kingsley U was to make Lydia jealous and push her into his arms. Now is the perfect time, so hurry up and follow me!"
With that, Leon turned and headed toward a secluded building.
Knowing Leon's close ties to Sterling, Elena grabbed the takeout box and the bag of meds and followed him.
Internally, everything suddenly clicked into place.
No wonder he had flat-out rejected her offer to orchestrate some alone time with Lydia before class ended.
He already had his own master plan in motion.
It made sense. He had confessed ninety-nine times already, and her presence over the last two days had definitely pushed Lydia to the edge.
You have to strike while the iron is hot. If he confessed right now, his chances of success were astronomically high!
Shortly after, Leon stopped outside a dusty, dimly lit room and gestured casually. "Go inside first. Keep your mouth shut. When he needs you, he'll call you out."
Elena looked up. It was The Archives, clearly abandoned, with a thick layer of dust coating the floor.
Glancing around, the area wasn't completely isolated—she could see a few students walking in the distance.
"Is this Sterling's idea, or yours?"
