Elena rolled around on the bed, deciding to take a quick shower before washing her uniform, skirt, bra, and Lorelei's jacket.
"Knock, knock, knock—"
But the moment she stood up, a knock sounded at the door.
"Sterls..."
Assuming it was Sterling, she walked straight over and pulled the door open.
The person standing outside wasn't Sterling, but a maid.
Seeing Elena's current state, the maid froze, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Ms. Larkin, Mr. Hawthorne needs to see you in his room."
Xavier wanted to see her?
Instantly, Elena's heart plummeted, and her immediate instinct was to refuse.
But then she remembered Xavier's temperament. If she refused, she wouldn't get a wink of sleep tonight!
This was The Hawthorne Estate. Sneaking into her room in the dead of night would be child's play for him.
She quickly grabbed her phone and fired off a message.
Looking back up, she agreed, "Alright, where is he? Lead the way."
The maid looked stunned. After hesitating for a few seconds, she suggested, "Ms. Larkin, perhaps... you should change first?"
Hearing this, Elena glanced down at herself, then suddenly smiled. "No need. If he's calling for me, it must be urgent. We shouldn't keep him waiting."
The maid tried to protest, but Elena had already stepped out into the hallway.
Left with no choice, the maid could only lead the way.
Inwardly, however, the maid couldn't hide her shock.
Ms. Larkin had come home wearing the Fourth Young Master's dress shirt. It wasn't hard to guess... they had just shared a passionate moment.
And now, the Second Young Master was summoning her—not to the living room, but directly to his bedroom.
The entire situation felt bizarrely inappropriate.
Yet, Ms. Larkin didn't even bother changing, choosing to walk right into his bedroom in such a revealing outfit.
