Chapter 116

It wasn’t long before the creature started writhing in pain and begging for me to make it stop. Asking me what the hell I did to it. But I sat there and watched. With no emotion on my face, I just watched it on the ground yelling and groaning in pain.

I wasn’t even sure how long I had been in the basement until the sun started coming threw the small window above the cage.

I must have been there for a couple hours and the creature had finally stopped moving, so I got up and I walked closer to the cage.

I had to move in pretty close to see if it was still alive or not. I knew that my blood had obviously hurt it, but did it kill it? That’s what I wanted to know. If I bite it with my canines then it will die. I already knew that. But I needed to know if there were other ways of killing this thing.

I needed to find a way that we could use against all of these creatures. Something that could be mass produced. My blood could be mass produced in a lab. They could make a synthetic copy of it, and see if that worked. It was a long shot, but at least it was something.

But as I got closer to the cage I looked in at the thing laying on the floor, not moving, it didn’t appear to be breathing and I walked a little bit closer.

Suddenly it jumped up and lunged at me, reaching threw the bars to try and grab me but I managed to jump back just in time. It wasn’t able to grab a hold of me. And I stood there staring at him.

“I guess your blood didn’t do the trick. What else you got?” He asked, mocking me.

So I walked to the other side of the basement and I grabbed a first aid box and brought it over to the crate where I sat down and I started looking again at what was inside of it.

I pulled out a specimen cup and I started thinking to myself while looking at it.

“Werewolves have venom in our canines? Don’t we? I bet my venom is what kills you.” I guess. And he backed away from the bars again. But I dropped the specimen cup back into the first aid kit and I put it down while I got up and walked over to the cage.

He wasn’t coming near me this time, which was fine. I didn’t really need him to. I could tell by his breathing that my blood had weakened it. It’s breathing was raggered and I knew that it wouldn’t take much.

I jumped on top of the cage in one swift movement and I grabbed him by the head and with my extended claws I scratched him across the face and I dropped him again and I jumped off the cage.

I turned to look at it and it was screaming in the cage while it was holding it’s cheek. The blood was pouring out of the wound and I stood back watching it try to stop the bleeding

It kept pulling its hand back to see if the bleeding had stopped. But it hadn’t. It was starting to pool on the ground underneath it and it was panicking. Vampires healed faster than us, so why the hell wasn’t this thing healing at all. It was bleeding profusely and it wouldn’t stop.

EXPERIMENT 2 – SCRATCHING WITH CLAWS AFTER INJECTION OF BLOOD

RESULT UNABLE TO HEAL.

I felt like I was really getting somewhere now. I could feel a plan formulating in my head. But there was a little more to the history of these vampires that I needed to know before I could act on them.

It wasn’t too much longer after that I heard heavy footsteps come running down the stairs to the basement and Ezra calm to a halt right next to where I was sitting.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Experimenting. We can’t risk catching any others, so I thought we’d just make do with what we’ve got.” I said.

So Ezra looked at the creature and saw that it was huddled to the side of the cage, still holding it’s face and blood oozing over it’s fingers with the large pool of blood on the ground.

“What did you do?” Ezra asked.

“Hey, you.” I yelled at the creature. And he flinched when he realized that I was talking to him.

“Leave me.” It said.

“No. What happens if I kill your master?” I asked.

“No one can kill master? He is the all powerful.” It said.
