LILLY POV

I was laying in bed trying to get some sleep, but I had been tossing and turning for ages. I couldn’t manage to get to sleep.

But I heard the door to the main building close so I got up and I listened at the door.

I was scared that it was Hayes. It wouldn’t be the first time he came to my door. But when I heard someone sneaking down the road, I opened the door and Jason was standing outside my room.

“What the hell are you doing? If you get caught sneaking in and out at this time they are going to kill you.” I said.

“They’ll punish me at the most. They won’t kill me.” He said.

“Where have you been?” I asked.

“I had to go and clear my head. Why are you still awake?” He asked.

“I can’t sleep.” I said.

“Did you go and see the doctor?”

“No. We all know what he’s going to say. Just take it easy for a couple of days. That’s what he’s said in the past and we know that Hayes will never let that happen.” I said.

“Try and get some rest. You’ve been through a lot and you do need the rest. Please?” Jason asked.

“Alright. As long as you promise not to sneak out again.” I said.

“Well, not tonight.” He said, winking at me and he kept walking down the hall to his room.

I went back into my room and closed the door and I got back in bed and I laid there staring out the window at the moon.

He saw me staring at me, but he managed to break out that sweet smile that he always gave me and he put his arm around me.

“It’ll be alright.” Jason said.

“Apparently it’s the Eclipse pack that are attacking. That’s what I overheard.” Camilla said.

“I’ve heard of them. They’re the closest pack to this base. It makes sense that they would be the ones to attack.” I said.

We saw them send some scouts out into the forest to see what they could find and to see if they could see anything happening that was out of the ordinary.

I saw Hayes giving all the orders and he turned to see me standing at the front of my dorm building with Jason and Camilla but he just stared at me for a second before he turned back to keep giving orders to the soldiers.

“Come on. Let’s go and get some breakfast.” Camilla said.
