The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 147

So we all walked to the mess hall and we got some food and sat there eating it while we knew that there was a lot going on outside.

It was hard for anyone in the mess hall to concentrate or to even stop talking about the attack. They needed everyone to be ready to defend themselves, but it was a little hard if they weren’t giving us any information.

The Captain always kept shit a little close to the vest and honestly, that’s not good when your base might be under attack.

I thought you’d want as many people out there as possible to defend the place instead of having them wandering around not knowing what the hell is going on.

One of the other juniors came up to us and started telling us that the scouts haven’t found anything yet. They’re still looking but there’s no sign that any wolves are coming near the base.

We thought that maybe it was a drill or it could have been a false alarm.

Either way, we all went to training as soon as we finished eating.

We all had to do so many hours at the shooting range to make sure that we were doing great with our weapons training and I actually loved using the weapons. The guns and the knives and I was really good at it.

I ranked top of the class when we did our classifications. So I was always proud of that, but now everyone was always trying to beat me.

Some were out of fun, some weren’t. Some were genuinely pissed that they got beaten by a girl. Which me and my friends thought were hilarious and we egged them on as much as possible.

As we were heading to the shooting range we heard the Captain and Hayes talking about this morning’s events.

“Why the hell would they declare an attack on our base and then not show up for it?” The Captain asked.

“I don’t know. I don’t even know who called in this attack. They’re tracing the call now, but we don’t know what’s going on.” Hayes said.

Jason just wanted to hear everything that they were saying and once they walked off, we felt like we could breathe again.

“What the actual fuck?” I asked.

“Why would they be asking about you?” Camilla asked.

“You’re probably on the hit list for the Midnight pack. You said that the Luna got a pretty good view of you that night. Maybe they figured out that you’re here.” Jason said.

“That means that you’re not leaving the base again. Especially not to go back to the Midnight pack.” Camilla said.

“I have to go where they send me. I have to know what the hell they’re hiding as well.” I said, walking off.
