I walked past him and into the building.
Morgan’s scent was strong.
I followed it down the stairs until I got to the bottom floor of this building which was underground and I found Stevens standing in the middle of the hallway with Morgan in front of him and a gun pointed right at her head.
Another Hunter was standing behind him, obviously as back up and I shifted back to my human form.
“Are you alright baby?” I asked.
“Never better.” Morgan said.
“You have fucked with the wrong army base.” Stevens said.
“No. You fucked with the wrong werewolves. And you stole the wrong fucking kid.” I demanded.
“Really? Because she’s been really invaluable to us.” Stevens said.
“Invaluable. Are you kidding? She’s been on two missions. One of them was to throw me off and the second was an abandoned pack.” Morgan scoffed. So he pressed the gun harder to the side of her head.
“Morgan. Please don’t piss off the guy with a gun to your head.” I said.
“Why? He’s not going to shoot me. He doesn’t have the fucking balls for it. That’s why he sends children to his dirty work.” I said.
“Don’t think I won’t shoot you bitch. You’ve been nothing but a pain in our ass since the day you decided to stand against the government when they wanted to kill Logan.” Stevens said.
“Is that what this is all about? You’re pissed off because I didn’t let you kill Logan?” Morgan asked.
“Why else? We were ready to do it. All werewolves were going to be wiped out because of him. But then you had to come back into the picture and figure out the truth. Do you have any idea how long it took us to get those disgusting creatures to do what we wanted.” Stevens said. And Morgan looked at me in shock and disgust. She couldn’t believe it.
These assholes were working with those creatures to help wipe out werewolves.
She turned around to face Stevens and Morgan punched him in the face and grabbed his shirt to stop him from falling before she rammed his head into the bars twice before she pushed him into the cell and closed the door behind him.
“Where’s Savannah?” Morgan asked.
“It’s all gone to plan. Corey’s got them.” I said.
So we ran out of that building and straight into a warzone. But not an ordinary warzone.
The wolves were demolishing the soldiers. I could see that some were dead, but a lot had just been knocked out.
They knew their orders. So if these soldiers were dead, it meant that the warriors had no choice.
But we alerted our warriors to the fact that I had Morgan back and we started running from the base to try and get the hell out of here in one piece.
Running through explosions and people screaming, but ultimately making it to the fence and running straight for the forest with our warriors behind us.
