EZRA’S POV
As I was sitting in the forest watching the sun rise over the trees, I realized that no matter how many soldiers I had around me, I was always going to feel completely empty without Morgan by my side.
I needed to hurry up and get her back.
I know that Savannah is safe. Ben made sure of that. And he messaged me to let me know that they are with the vampires now. So we were making our plans to try and get Morgan out of that cell now.
“So, tell me again why mom thought it was a good idea to sacrifice herself?” Aiden asked.
“She needed to get the message to Savannah. Savannah’s already left and she’s broken away from the Hunters that she was with. Corey has her now.” I explained.
“Good. And most of the Hunters aren’t here. We should be attacking now.” Aiden said.
“All in good time. The Hunters are about to be attacked by our pack. And they are going to call for more Hunters to help them.” I said.
Aiden looked at me like I was crazy, but I knew exactly what I was doing.
I knew that all I had to do was wait for the choppers to take off with the Hunters that they have on stand by and then we will make a clear entrance into that base.
“I thought everyone was evacuated to the Moon Stone pack.” Aiden said.
“They were. Except for the extraordinary warriors that belong in both of our packs.” I said.
“And they’re lying in wait for the Hunters?” Aiden asked. But I just smiled at him. Letting him know that he finally understood.
“That’s pretty fucking risky.” Aiden said.
“Take it up with your mother. It was her idea.” I said. And he let out an exasperated sigh. He knows as well as I do that when Morgan gets an idea in her head, she’s going to do it whether we help her or not. So it’s always best just to help her.
We knew that this place also had civilian military, but that didn’t stop them. They started firing at us as well.
The warriors were protecting me from all sides, taking down the soldiers but trying not to kill them because they had nothing to do with this fight. They’re just protecting their base. Like they were trained to do.
They weren’t part of the werewolf battle.
I found my way to the prison building and I couldn’t bash the door open by smashing into it because it was too thick.
So I stood back and I looked at the window that had bars over it.
I knew that the bars were too thick as well, so I ran towards the office, but I didn’t have to go far.
I found someone with a badge that could get me into the prison and I herded him all the way back to the prison and as he unlocked the door he stood there with his eyes closed, probably thinking that I was going to kill him.
