LILLY POV
I was a little concerned with Morgan and Ezra staying back and planning a trip to Atlanta. I have heard things about the werewolf council and they aren’t wolves to mess around with. They are powerful and not many packs will go up against them.
Maybe it’ll be different since Morgan and Ezra have a reputation and packs will want to back them and take down Webber.
I guess there’s only one way to find out. But right now, I was more focused on getting to the Night Walker Pack.
Aiden was driving and I was in the backseat with Ben. I was looking at the scenery, but it was all forest around us.
We avoided the towns and took the long way around just in case. I guess it was a tactical maneuver on Aiden’s part, in case anyone was following us. He was a warrior, afterall.
But so was Ben and Jackson. We were all trained pretty specifically. And that was scaring me as well.
The Hunters trained me and now I have the power of a werewolf and I could be considered a massive threat to them. Maybe that’s why Morgan and Ezra are going after Webber. To stop people from coming after me. They were going to the source instead of waiting for them to find us.
We drove through the night and I got a fair bit of sleep in the car, but when we got to the pack, it was already daylight again.
It was still early in the morning but I saw a fair bit of activity happening around the pack.
I was surprised to see a pack this up close and personal.
There were warriors training but other people were just walking around minding their own business.
Parents playing with their kids. It was surreal at just how normal they were.
I was always taught to believe that they were savages. Even in their own packs, they were always trying to kill each other.
“Hello Lilly. It’s so great to finally meet you. I’m the packhouse keeper. My name is Stephanie. If you need anything at all then just let me know.” She said. So I nodded my head, not really knowing what to say.
We walked inside and I stopped to take in the surroundings.
It looked like a real business like house from the outside but the inside looked really different. Like it was a home. A great home with family portraits on the walls and even portraits of other pack members around the place.
We walked further into the house when a man came out of the office and Aiden walked straight up to him.
“Cooper. It’s good to see you again.” Aiden said, shaking his hand.
“You too.” Cooper said.
“Lilly. This is Cooper. He’s been the Beta of this pack while Mom and Dad have been at the Midnight pack. Cooper was put in charge of this pack because he actually saved mom’s life once. They were teenagers.” Aiden explained.
