We stayed up talking for a little while longer before I started feeling really exhausted and I went down the hall to the bedroom to get some sleep.
Ben said that he was going to stay up and keep watch of everything and he wanted to be there when Savannah woke up.
So Ezra came to bed with me and we talked a little bit more before we passed out.
When I woke up the next morning I could hear talking in the other room and I instantly knew it was Ben and Savannah.
I got out of bed and saw that Ezra was still sleeping so I walked to the kitchen to get a coffee.
“Hi.” Savannah said.
“How did you sleep?” I asked.
“Pretty good.” She said.
“That’s good.”
“So, what’s the plan for today?” Ben asked.
“Well, I don’t really know. Justin destroyed the Midnight pack. We don’t know if he knows about the Night Walker pack. I have to get in touch with Izzy. She was undercover with them for a lot longer and she knows a lot more about their operation. Their bases and everything else that we need to know.” I explained.
“Alright. Well, we can’t take Savannah back to the Night Walker pack if it’s been compromised.” Ben said.
“I know. I don’t intend to.” I said.
Savannah was sitting there listening to everything and I kept seeing her face change whenever we called her Savannah.
That’s when I realized that she didn’t want to be called that. She was raised as Lilly. She wanted to be called Lilly. So I sat at the table and I tried to start talking to her. I tried to get to know the person that she had become.
I wasn’t really that surprised when I found out that she was a lot like me. Stubborn and pig headed and always had to prove that she could do something when people said that she couldn’t. She was definitely my daughter.
Someone started knocking on the front door and we all got up really quickly.
“Ben. Take her to the bedroom.” I said.
So Ben grabbed Savannah’s hand and took her to the bedroom while I crept towards the door and I looked out of the curtain next to the window and I saw Aiden standing there.
I relaxed and opened the door and he walked inside with his best friend Jackson.
“You weren’t supposed to come here.” I said.
“I have to see her. You know that I remember her and everything that’s happened since then.” Aiden said.
“Ben. It’s just Aiden.” I sang out.
So he walked out of the bedroom with Savannah and Ezra was awake now too.
“Oh my god. It really is you.” Aiden said, walking over to her.
“Yeah. So they all tell me.” Savannah said.
“She wants to be called Lilly. It’s what she grew up with.” Ben said. And I nodded my head.
“Well Lilly, it’s great to have you back.” Aiden said, hugging her.
“I wasn’t expecting this.” Lilly said.
“Well, you should start to. Wait until you meet the other hellions.” Aiden said.
“Otherwise known as your brothers and sister.” I said.
“That’s where the werewolf council is.” He said.
“And that’s where I’ll find councilman Webber.” I said.
“You’re not doing that alone.” Ezra insisted.
“We can get Lilly back to the pack safely if you need to do this.” Aiden said.
“It’s never going to stop until we get to the bottom of everything. Webber is a part of it. And just because Stevens is gone now doesn’t mean he’s going to stop whatever the hell he’s doing. He’s just going to find someone to replace him.” I said.
“Justin will definitely put his hand up for that role.” Lilly said.
“Yeah. I had a feeling that he would. You guys take Lilly home. Get her settled. Make sure the pack knows who she is and make sure that if anyone says or does something that they know I’ll be pissed about, then they will be kicked out.” I insisted.
“No one is going to say anything about Lilly. Not once they know who she is.” Ezra said.
“Aren’t they going to want me there?” Lilly asked.
“It’s only because you were raised by the Hunters. But now you know the truth. Everything will be fine.” Aiden assured her.
We made all the plans and Aiden drove Jackson, Lilly and Ben back to the Night Walker Pack and Ezra and I stayed in the cabin.
We had work to do before we started heading down to Atlanta. And it was the sort of work that I didn’t want Lilly to see. At least not yet.
I wanted her to get to know us before she saw the real animal side of us and how far we are willing to go to protect our own people.
That is something that she’s gonna have to learn for herself after living with the pack for a while.
I didn’t want to be the first one to show her that side of us.
