“I look forward to it.” I smirked. And she walked away with her friends, but she looked really pissed about it at the

same time.

I waited a fair bit of time before they were far enough away before I left the warehouse. I started walking towards the woods, but somehow I ended up in front of the packhouse.

I was standing in the field staring at the house and I knew that Bella had something to do with it. She was obsessed with Alpha Logan and didn’t want to be away from him. 2

I didn’t blame her. This was her animal’s natural instinct.

I walked up to the front door and I rang the doorbell.

It was only a few seconds before that same omega opened the door, but this time, she had a whole different attitude.

She let me in straight away and she showed me to the library where Alpha Logan was.

I looked around and saw that he was alone. He was standing next to a table with an open book in front of him, obviously searching for something.

“Hi.” I said.

“I’m a little surprised to see you. I didn’t think you’d want to come to the packhouse on your own.” He said.

“Well, I guess you were wrong.” I said.

“Yeah. I guess I was. Come on in.” He said. So I walked into the library and I had to stop and take a minute to look around the massive room.

“I know. It’s bigger than you thought.” He said.

“Hell yeah. And I’m actually a little surprised to find you in here.” I said.

“Is everything alright?” He asked.

“Why do you ask?”

“Because you look different. A little pissed off or something.” He said.

“It’s nothing to worry about. Nothing I haven’t had to deal with for years.” I said.

“Is someone giving you a hard time? I can make them stop.” He said.

“Why? People will get suspicious if you start standing up for me.” I said.

“Yeah. I guess so.” He said.

“So, you didn’t answer me. What’s going on in here.” I said, looking at all the books scattered around the table. And they all seemed to have the same theme. Which meant that he was looking for something specifically.

“I’m looking for something. Apparently decades ago, my ancestors made a treaty with a coven of vampires. It happened so long ago that it’s now considered a myth. These are the werewolf diaries from this pack. I’m trying to find out if the treaty is actually real or not.” He explained.

“Are you going to uphold it if it is real?” I asked.

“Yeah. I’ll try.” He said.

“Good.” I said.

“Why?” He asked.

“Because, it’s not good for an Alpha to go back on his word. Alpha’s pride themselves of being true to their word.”

I said.

“Yeah. I’m surprised you think that. After everything that my father did to you.” He said.

“And you.” I added. And he looked at me, but his facial expression didn’t really change. He knew that I was right, but he wasn’t going to say it out loud.

“Well, if it’s real then I might want to have a sit down with these vampires.” He said.

“Good luck with that.” I said.

“What do you mean?” He asked.

“Vampires are really hard to find. Aren’t they? I’ve never seen one. But I’ve never really been off this pack before.” I said. And there was no way I was going to tell him about Cory being in my trailer the other night. 5

“Maybe. But these books might help. Did you want to give me a hand with this? I’ve got a lot of books to go over.” He said.

“Sure. Why not?” I asked.

We both sat on the couch looking through different books, trying to find a treaty between us and a vampire clan. And the name of the vampire clan if we do have a treaty in place with them.

I wasn’t sure how long we had been sitting there working when I could feel Logan staring at me.

I looked up at him and he was still on the same page that he had been on ages ago.

He was staring at me, but it wasn’t intimidating. It wasn’t scary. I looked into his green eyes and I could see that his wolf was trying to come forward, as well as Bella.

Suddenly Logan raised his hand to cup my face and he pulled me to him and started kissing me.

Sparks shot up everywhere, all over my body. Like it felt alive for the first time in my life.

He got on his knees and pushed me back so I was laying on the couch and he was on top of me.

He didn’t stop kissing me and Bella was howling in my head. Wanting more. As much as she could get. And she wasn’t the only one. 1
