I decided to have a shower in my massive bathroom and I got dressed into some of the casual clothes that were in my wardrobe and they felt so nice and comfortable.
I really didn’t know what I was missing while I was being dressed in army clothes.
I went downstairs with Ben after that and they had breakfast waiting for us so we sat in the dining room with Cooper, Cooper’s mate Angel, Aiden and Jackson.
Cooper and Angel were talking about their kids and they had sent them out during breakfast because they are way too full on and they would be asking me way too many private questions. Apparently they have no filter.
Aiden said that my brothers and sister were like that so he thought it was best that I settle in before I met them.
I thought that it was nice that they were trying to ease me into everything but I was still eager to meet them.
When we finished breakfast Ben and I left the packhouse to go for a walk around and he was showing me around. But I noticed a camp site set up in a huge clearing.
“That’s where people are living at the moment until we can find them somewhere to live.” Ben said.
“They’re the ones that had to evacuate? Because of us?” I asked, staring at them.
“You didn’t know. And no one is going to blame you.” Ben said. But I stood there watching all those poor people.
They were living in tents and cooking over a fireplace while I was living in a mansion with a housekeeper and a chef.
It didn’t seem fair to me. I mean, I helped run them out of their home.
“Ben!” A woman yelled, walking towards us with a lot of determination.
“Oh shit.” Ben said under his breath.
“It was really nice to let me know that you’re back in town.” She snapped at him.
“I told you Ellan. We’re over.” Ben said.
“Why? Because of her? She’s the reason that so many werewolves are homeless now. And you just forget about everything she’s done and dump me for her.” Ellan yelled.
“She’s my fucking mate. You know that. And she didn’t know she was a werewolf. She was raised as a fucking hunter. But she’s here now and she’s not going to hurt anyone.” Ben defended me.
“I am so happy that Morgan and Ezra found you. Where are they anyway?” Avery asked. And I looked at Ben.
“They’re not back yet. They had some unfinished business to attend to.” Ben said.
“I don’t like the sound of that.” Avery said.
“No one does. But we’re all trusting that they know what they’re doing.”
“I hope so. Where are they?” Avery asked.
“Atlanta.” Ben said.
As soon as Ben said Atlanta, her face dropped. She knew straight away what Morgan and Ezra were up to and she definitely didn’t like it.
“Do they have any warriors with them?” Avery asked.
“No. But Aiden has more information about it if you want to go to the packhouse and ask him.” Ben said.
